In 1988, Sega changed the face of home video gaming with the release of Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System. This seminal RPG was unlike anything ever seen before on a home console system, with immersive 3-D dungeons, huge amounts of graphic land to explore, and hours upon hours of non-linear gameplay. A new highwater mark had been set, and now, over ten years later, Phantasy Star can be considered arguably one of the greatest games ever.
