Ok, in PSIII techniques work completely differently from the other three PS games in the series. Now, there are the four different categories of techs in PSIII, but I'll use ANTI and why it doesn't always work as the example. Now, for techniques to be effective, especially the 'white magic' techs and the 'red magic' techs, you must have your tech points concentrated on that particular technique. What do I mean by tech points? Go into the technique store and upon paying the teacher you'll have a square grid which allows you to concentrate your 'tech points', and according to how many tech points you have on one technique depends upon the effectiveness and the chance of success. As your level increases, so do your 'tech points'. So, if you are on an early level or you have concentrated your TP on say RES or GIRES, then your chances of successfully casting ANTI or REV are quite small. Thus why you must cast ANTI many times for success.<p>Also, cyborgs are partly organic, although they are immortal because of their platetonic brain. So by all means they can be poisoned.
