PSIII "Anti" Tech

Am I the only one that notices that Anti never seems to work outside of battle in PSIII? I have to use it six time before I can get it to work. And how do androids get poisoned?

Or, they are as the game states... cyborgs. That would explain why it works on them...
Though we're likely just looking at one of the many small things that the developers overlooked.

Ok, in PSIII techniques work completely differently from the other three PS games in the series. Now, there are the four different categories of techs in PSIII, but I'll use ANTI and why it doesn't always work as the example. Now, for techniques to be effective, especially the 'white magic' techs and the 'red magic' techs, you must have your tech points concentrated on that particular technique. What do I mean by tech points? Go into the technique store and upon paying the teacher you'll have a square grid which allows you to concentrate your 'tech points', and according to how many tech points you have on one technique depends upon the effectiveness and the chance of success. As your level increases, so do your 'tech points'. So, if you are on an early level or you have concentrated your TP on say RES or GIRES, then your chances of successfully casting ANTI or REV are quite small. Thus why you must cast ANTI many times for success.
Also, cyborgs are partly organic, although they are immortal because of their platetonic brain. So by all means they can be poisoned.

Ok, then that's just very, very bad luck.

You must also take into account..
How many times you get poisoned!
I've noticed in a fight, being poisoned 3/4 times in a row.
The attempts stack up! I swear to god they do!
Just like machines in PS 2 are immune to dieing from massive tech damage. They have a ANTI-one hit kill defense.

Yes, but 6 tries when Anti is set to 18???

Also, there is a random element to success of Anti (and Rev), no matter how high the technique level. So things like that can happen. (Altough 6 tries at level 18 is pretty bad!) Because of this I consider Anti a waste of TP and use antidotes instead.

10 Meseta is not a bad deal for an Anti that does not fail.
I always use Antidotes. Far easier.

Yes, antidotes are better than concentrating your char's tech on ANTI so you can use it for something useful like GIRES instead.
And as far as I know, the poisonings don't stack up. Poisoned is poisoned, and you don't need a double spell-casting or two antidotes to cure it.
And we can conclude that Gipper has the worst luck in the world.

actually it once took me 3 antidotes to remove poison from Rhys..
I had been in extended enemy fights not wishing to heal, to see how long Rhys could survive.
I recall Eindons or whatever the hell they are poisoning me 3 times total
Okay, so this is weird. I've checked what Lord Khyron said and no matter how often I got poisoned (in the course of a single battle or over the course of several battles) and no matter when I used an antidote (in battle or after), I never needed more than ONE to cure Rhys of poison.
The only idea I have left is (apart from "external" influences), that maybe different versions of the game behave differently. I've made my tests on the original american genesis version. So, Lord Khyron, which version of the game were you playing when this happend to you?

I don't mean it happened once. It refuses to work at all. I've acually just gotten so frustrated with it that I just let my chars be poisoned.
