Thanks for the Ice Cream...oh, and now I am listening to the Linkin Park:Live in Texas album. But I still listen to Binaural...my math teacher is the bassist.

Because last time I checked, most of the countries on earth used it.

BTW Malakai, Kg? Why on earth would you use metrics?

Simple, my boy. I'm Italian, and Italy uses the metric system just like the rest of europe. Sure I know pounds and ounces because I've lived in America for a while, but kilograms and meters still come to mind first.

I hate pounds, ounces, feet, yards, miles, all of the Imperial(that is the term for it) measurements. I get metric much better
BTW, I'm American.

What's to know? 16 oz. to a pound. Easy enough. Besides, 100 lbs. is more than 100 kg (something like 1.5x I think).

If you ever go into physics, chemistry, or mathematics you'll understand.

Indeed. Conversion and scientific notation in chemistry would be hell without the metric system...

I was thinking distances for some reason (1 Km=.6 Mi). And to rebut your number theory, I don't have to remember all of those annoying prefixes. What is the difference between Deci- and Deca- anyway?
If you say I have to remember mile, pound, inch, ect., you have to remember liter, gram, meter, ect, so that is not a valid argument.
Plus there is a nice weight to volume conversion for liquid: 1 pt. = 1 lb. True for water and almost anything other than oil that you would need to measure on a regular basis.
Oh, and...
Beastie Boys:Brass Monkey

[Edit by Gipper on [TIME]1107568453[/TIME]]

No, metric system is infinitely more efficient. No obscure numbers to memorize. As Malakai said, easily remembered base numbers.
If you can't be bothered to remember the prefixes, then that really says something about yourself. Young kids of 10 years and even younger know the prefixes. Honest, it's nothing totally mind-boggling.

[Edit by LaconianShot on [TIME]1107568927[/TIME]]
