Well, yes. Besides that, a DOCTYPE declaration makes your site look much more professional, if anyone bothers looking at the source.

That's not true. If I see a particularly nice looking site, I look at the source. I know other people do too, but I seriously doubt if casual users do.

Well people who know what it means would be somewhat impressed anyway. If it was just some random person looking at the code they'd be like, "What the heck is DOCTYPE?". Theres a bunch of weird tags, like the robots for indexing.

I suppose. But, I bet anyone who codes HTML or XHTML might look.
By the way Tekno-Crystal, what flavor of HTML or XHTML do you use?

I suppose while we have trailed off Spyware into programming, I'll ask a question.
I'm learning Visual Basic right now and it would help greatly if I could have a working version of it in front of me. Does anyone know if I could find a version for free?

As far as I know you can't get VB for free.
As for my flavour, when I used to use HTML and CSS, but now with my new webpages I use XHTML-Strict, CSS, PHP, mySQL, and maybe a little bit of Javascript.

We’ve got most of it fixed… We used Spyware Doctor and Bazooka, but Bazooka is a little too complicated, plus the final files it wants me to delete are no where to be found on my computer…

You're looking for a free copy of VB? If you want, just search on k-lite k++, that's where I found mine awhile back. :D

Ryucross: Do you have access to everywhere on your computor? Then I think it's always best to scan your computor manually, no program is perfect.
There are certain files that are called "hidden files" which are programed to be invisible unless you change your settings to view them (somewhere in the control panel I think). If you can't see hidden files, that might be why you can't see them.
I personally think that internet explorer is fine. I don't see how you guys can have so much trouble with your computors because of it (I think Internet Explorer isn't the reason).
There is also a program that comes standard for all versions of windows (That's what my bro said). To access it you need to be an "admin" on your computor (It's in the user thingy in the control panel.). Then click start, run, and type "msconfig". DON'T DISABLE WINDOWS SERVICES! The results won't be pretty. If a startup/service looks suspicious, uncheck it. When you log in, there will be a series of 3 windows, click ok on the first 2 and then exit without restart.
If somethings different it's because it's based off what I see on my Windows XP.

[Edit by Kienashe on [TIME]1090654585[/TIME]]

You really need to get yourself setup on an Admin account on your comp. That's what I did and my family does not like it, well atleast my brother
Ulitmate Domination of Your Computor... :look: ... Mwah HaHaHaHa!
Lucky for me I'm the only one that uses the computor AND I'm free to do whatever I want to on it, but no hentai/porn though *duh*.
