Hm...that Rolf picture looks alirght...but I can't say I like how green he seems, though. However, Dark Force looks great; not really changed at all, but rather re-defined.
On another note, I like how the characters on-screen have different postures depending on where they are.
omfg theinx 4 teh pix couree

Eh, I always saw the protagonists of the PS series as being green. I mean, Alisa was a 15 year old girl who took up a sword because of her brother being slain; Eusis/Rolf was a fairly new agent (yes, I know he'd been working for the Governor General for a couple of years, but that's still fairly new to me) who was probably being given his first major, solo assignment; the princes in PSIII were all green obviously and Rudy/Chaz in PSIV...hell, about the same as Eusis, it was his first task as a full fledged Hunter.
-Corey

[Edit by PSP on [TIME]1113015954[/TIME]]

thanks!!! whee hee.... Mother Brain is next, I hope. ^__^
and for the record, remade Dark Force looks perfect. Doesn't betray the original DF one bit. oh my gosh and seeing Anna in battle makes me realize how sharp and beautiful the graphics are!!!!!! (well they all look sharp and awesome) ^___^
PSP is now our PSCave Grand Master of the year. =D

[Edit by Saner2 on [TIME]1113016297[/TIME]]

There's one thing that makes all Dark Forces alike, and makes me think that Falz really is a mistranslation... there are two tubes on each side of the neck that always goes into its back, all versions of Dark Force...except for PS3, given they didn't use the original look for any of the monsters...
Image
For comparison
[Edit by JonathanF on [TIME]1113017112[/TIME]]

Well, the romanization is "fu a ru su", which...well, for me would equal "Force" in english.
-Corey

That Dark Force... looks simply great. "Conservative" was a good way of describing it beforehand, PSP. However, even though it's seems more conservative, it almost seems as if it's bearing down upon your party... the whole picture seems to jump forth. Perhaps it's white outline, or just the new background that does this... but whatever the case, it makes me happy.

Orignially osted by PSP
Eh, I always saw the protagonists of the PS series as being green[...]Eusis/Rolf was a fairly new agent (yes, I know he'd been working for the Governor General for a couple of years, but that's still fairly new to me) who was probably being given his first major, solo assignment; the princes in PSIII were all green obviously and Rudy/Chaz in PSIV...hell, about the same as Eusis, it was his first task as a full fledged Hunter.

True enough. Rolf, with only a few years of experience after whatever training is required to become an Agent, was fairly unexperienced battle-wise; 7-10 years of service would consider him a veteran.
However, he also has had more training than the other protagonists in the PS series, and Rolf is set up as alot more knowledgable (see: short bio in his house; "has wide range of knowledge") He is not hot-headed Rhys or naive and immature Chaz. He handles himself (from what limited context the game provides) with alot more maturity than Chaz, Rhys or Alis do.
That makes the difference, you see. I can't really argue your impression of him, though, but I can back myself up.
EDIT: An emoticon popped up when I intended it not to...

[Edit by Siren on [TIME]1113074045[/TIME]]
