Ok, who did YOU pick for Rhys to marry in PSIII?

This thread reminds me of that debate I had with Benoit over the legitimacy of Rhys marriage with Lena.<p>I usually pick Lena over Maia. I believe that Lena demonstrated her affections towards Rhys by risking her life to help him out on his adventure to find his beloved Maia. A person's love towards another can make you do crazy, illogical things, you know.

I also like Nial more than Ayn, too. <br>Ayn can use Techniques, but I prefer brute force to crush my enemies, considering I never have any use for Techniques until the very end of the game, anyway.

I choose Lena. Even though the game offers little to no dialogue that would suggest a relationship between Lena and Rhys, there's conjecture... like Lena breaking Rhys out and his obvious concern for Lena when conversing with Lyle (ah, which castle is that in?).<br>Maia's marriage really isn't any more inspired then Lena's... after all, we don't know whether Rhys and Maia actually loved each other or whether it was an arranged marriage in which Maia had no choice. Retrieving Maia simply may have been a matter of honor for Rhys.

I have to completely agree with LaconianShot. Maia did say she was "honored" to marry Rhys. Plus, how do we know exactly how she felt about Rhys when she found out she was a Layan, the Princess of Cille? Maybe she, like a lot of Layans, hated Orakians, and didn't want to marry Rhys when she found out he was an Orakian.

I chose Maia.<p>After travelling through Hell to get to her, I thought: "Why go back now? I'll finish what I set out to do."<p>They obviously felt love towards eachother, or else they wouldn't have decided to marry in the first place. Of course, there are always other factors, but a woman I travelled across the world for would be a worthy choice.
