Phantasy Star 2 Remake - Screen Shots have been out!

Screen shots for the PS2 remake have been out for those who haven't seen them, unfortunitally SFC seems to be down (where I first saw the link) but once it comes back up I'll post the link to the shots, or someone else can beat me to it if they want XD. Anyway, THE GAME LOOKS FREAKING KICKASS!!! Now people complained about PS1's remake, however PS2 really does look great, I think you all will be impressed, and lets hope we get some PS4 screens soon *drools of seeing Rika in anime style graphics on PS2*

I'm rather worried about what they're going to do to PS4's characters. With what I've seen PS2's characters were a bit off in their design.<br>Other than the poor character design I'd have to agree that it looks pretty good. >.>

I was somewhat dissapointed with the character designs, too. Otherwise, the graphics look fine. However, my main concern is what they will do to the story...

I personally think the game looks great. I am glad the character design is improved as the original version had that early to mid '80's Robotech anime style going on.<p>Also, did anyone notice that there was at least one battle screenshot that had the blue grid instead of a normal backround? I'm thinking this means there's some kind of option that lets you choose to use the grid or not. Also, one of the magics being used has Alis' image behind a shield. It seems they're doing a lot to make these remakes fit seamlessly together. Let's hope any translations we get will do the same.<p>All in all, I think PSG:2 will be a nice homage to the original.

What I like the most on these remakes (as I never touched PS:G1) is how they improve the story by adding dialogues and cinematic scenes. They did it in the PS1 remake and seem to be doing in PS2 too, so, at least for now, I´m ok with it, even though the character design may change to something weird, like Odin´s hair.<p>Rolf looks like he just had a bathe.

I don't like the new character designs. It's true that some of them now correspond to their character settei mentioned in the Phantasy Star Compendium, but I don't like the results.<p>Rolf now looks like less of a man, and less determined.<br>Nei has had her design bothed with the frills and the unnecessary, disgusting change of her collar. Her face is ugly as well.<p>Looking at the screenshots, the game doesn't seem anything special. It looks like the same game, but only with more colors. Bah.

PSII remake is looking perfect!!!!<p>yeah the character designs are a little off a little.<p>But they still look great! I mean look at Hugh! definite improvement. <p>yeah they darkened Amy's hair and Rudo looks a little older than he should be. But overall they all look cool. I mean they could've looked awful, ya know? <p>and look at Rolf's armor!!!!! My gosh it's so freaking HOT!!!!! and Nei's new costume design is cool too. <p>yeah Rudo's armor was altered a bit, but it still looks sweet. They look great, provided you completely ignore how they look before. >.><br>To many things were changed, especially with Rolf, Nei, Anna, and Shir. And Nei's was probably the worst. you are exaggerating a lot. I saw the remake artwork and instantly identified them. and how is Nei any less of a 'slut' in the original artwork? anyways it's still basically a collar and leotard the only big change would be the difference in Anna's hairstyle. but look at Nei, her hairstyle is still the same, and her status window artwork looks perfect. <p>http://ages.sega.jp/ps2/home.html<p>this remake is looking to be true to the original and we should be grateful cause there have been remakes that have not been faithfully matched at all. <p>and what's wrong with Rolf? nothing. they got everything pretty accurate. that slick and straight hairstyle works (bangs could of been longer though). <br>Shir, well... she doesnt look cute like before. but I have to see more in-game art of her before making further assumptions. maybe Anna's new hairstyle and makeup is for the best. <br>and this is all understandable cause gaming is at a new time period, different artists are making it. and what they've done so far looks to be a fair attempt and keeping true to the original (I mean thankfully they weren't given the goofy PSO faces and costumes.) <p>[size=small][Edit by Saner2 on [TIME]1105906366[/TIME]][/size]

My biggest problem with Nei is the ribbon, the frilly crap, her ears, the change of eye color, and that her outfit now partially exposes her chest(not a lot but still more than before judging by the art I'm looking at, aside from one which more closly resembles a mix of her two outfits).<br>And with as many crappy google searches as I've gotten along with seeing far to many people with poorly censored crap in their signatures on various forums I've come to learn what the heck hentai is(unfortunatly), and she does, in fact, more closely resemble something out of that crap now.<br>And like I said it was the 'best' description I've seen as of yet, I know it's not right on the mark but it's still the closest out of the 7 or 8 opinions I've read on her.<p>As for the other characters, jugding by face alone since that's all I've seen of other characters, were changed far too much.<br>Rolf's hair is too flat and it's a lighter blue, his eyes have changed a bit, his headband is now grey, and he looks about 15 years older than he should.<br>Shir's hair looks like it's been pressed down onto her head and the color's been changed, her eye color was changed, and she now looks more serious than before.<br>Anna's hair is most definatly too flat, her head's shape is slightly changed, same with the shape of her eyes, and she just looks less angered.<p>[size=small][Edit by Demon Child on [TIME]1105907964[/TIME]][/size]<br><p>[size=small][Edit by Demon Child on [TIME]1105908207[/TIME]][/size]

still looks yellow to me. it's lighter, that's all. besides look at the cover art ext to the Generation 2 logo. you can't tell me his headband is grey.
