You also said that you weren't in the wrong in saying that the two were one and the same -- even after you'd been disproved. This isn't a matter of opinion. An example of a matter of opinion would be something like if I asked you what you thought of my footer, and you said, "it's great! I like it!" or, "It sucks. I don't like it," -- because neither is correct nor incorrect, as it's a matter of opinion. A matter of fact would be something more like if you asked me for the correct answer to "1+1", and I said, "5", you'd know right away that my answer was wrong, because that can -- and has -- been proven false.

yeah, i liked the idea about musk cats having their own language. is Myau really Odin's companion? I'd have thought Myau would choose better company than some personality-less guy with a big axe. couldn't he get a Motavian? i think ps4 would be okay without myau being in it- the cats might have just kept the silver fang.

Did someone bothered to read my post?

If it's in regards to the Old Man being Myau, yes I did. :)
I agree with what Monocramatico posted in regards to the Old Man being Myau. I'm suprised that no-one here has taken his facts into account and replied to them.
I'll now provide more facts on why Myau from PS1 is the Old Man from PS4. First of all, here are some images of the Old Man and Myau:

Look at the similarities between these two pictures -- who else has evolved into a big cat with white wings after eating the Larmea Nut? Exactly: Myau.
"But those two pictures alone don't prove anything that Myau is the Old Man! The Old Man could be any Musk Cat!
I agree. But if you continue to read more of my post, I provide you with some evidence on why Myau and the Old man are the same.
I believe that after Myau ate that Larmea Nut, the Larmea tree became extinct 1000 years later, because the Larmea Nut that Myau has eaten, in order for Alis and friends to get to the Air Castle, was probably the very last seed to ensure that more Larmea Trees can grow in Dezolis. I can back this claim up, simply by saying:
- there was only one Larmea Tree with only one Larmea Nut on Dezolis in the first generation of Phantasy Star.
- There's no other tree of its kind that appears in the future generations of the Phantasy Star saga.
[Edit by ThePeaGuy on [TIME]1090691775[/TIME]]

Rune's woodcane was made out of a laerma tree. i don't think wood lasts that long, and anyway what would he be doing with a crappy weapon from 2000 years ago? so he must have made it quite recently. i think laerma trees still exist. on that mater, why is the frademantle such a low level armour in ps4? it was Noah's best armour.

musk cat questions

ThePeaGuy: The thing is, though, that the 'Old Man' had referred to the Silver Fang/Tusk as having been passed down from generation to generation of musk cats -- as an heirloom of sorts.
Monocromatico: I read your message, yes, and I apologize for not replying to it earlier. We don't know that the 'Old Man' is actually 2000 years of age, as it is never stated. It's not really surprising that he can speak the common tongue, as such is a racial attribute; the other musk cats that greet you, near the entrance to their area, also speak to the party in the common tongue. Technically, the elder musk cat wouldn't be an empty reference to the game that started it all, as he looks very similar to what Myau looked like after having eaten the Laerma nut, during the flight to Air Castle; the reference would be the similarities in his appearance.

ThePeaGuy: The thing is, though, that the 'Old Man' had referred to the Silver Fang/Tusk as having been passed down from generation to generation of musk cats -- as an heirloom of sorts.

But fangs and tusks are not the same type of teeth. Wild creatures who have tusks are generally mammals such as the boars, waluses, elephants or their ancestor the mammoth. Fangs are teeth grown from carnivourous animals such as cats and dogs. They are not the same thing.
The only explanation I can give on where the Silver Tusk is from is that Myau must've hunted down those mammoth monsters from PS1 & PS2. Maybe that's why they didn't appear in PS4 -- because they were extinct by the Musk Cats. :p
EDIT - What the hell have I been smoking?
[Edit by ThePeaGuy on [TIME]1090696904[/TIME]]

musk cat questions

The compendium can answer the question: This shows why the OLD MAN is nowt(changed from now because of typo) MYAU.
Musk Cats (I, II, IV)
Animals possessing high intelligence. Alisa's loyal partner from AW 342 on, Myau, endeared the species to the humans of the time, and there was a boom in Musk Cats as pets.
Their high intelligence allows all Musk Cats to understand the human language, but Myau's powers of comprehension far exceed any other Musk Cat's. (He was probably a mutation.)
A few of the cats abandoned by their owners after a mining accident in AW 1281 lingered in Skure, and, afterwards, their descendants founded their own village.

[Edit by Lord Khyron on [TIME]1090770640[/TIME]]

musk cat questions

Postby Siren » Sun Jul 25, 2004 2:38 am

Khyron: How does that prove Myau is the Old Man? I read the post and there is nothing useful there. It states that there were Musk Cats on Skure (PSII) and that they formed their own village, but we already knew that through PSII and PSIV.
The Compendium states that Myau was probably a mutation ( Nut of Laerma), but unless you read into that and say the mutation would be the cause for long life, theres no information there.
I'd rather not use the Compendium in favor of rationalizing from the games. The Compendium is sketchy and it is for the Japanese storyline (I'm not saying that they're different stories, but numerous incontinuities and differences left from translation have made them rather different). I'm not taking a shot at Khyron for using the Compendium, but text from the game is much more reliable.

No I am proving that Myau is not the Old man. Musk cats have a collective intelligence and memory.
Hence the reason so many can feel like Chaz and Co are familiar.
If Myau died, his memories would still live on in the collective telepathy of the musk cats.
The musk cats on a whole share the same memories, It's not hard to imagine them having his memories.
