I have searched many, many times to find the television commercial that featured Master System Phantasy Star I which aired in the United States. I remember seeing it in 1989, which was after the official release of the game here (1988).
All I can ever find is the Japanese commercial.
Now there is a commercial for Thunder Blade that mentions "The incredible Phantasy Star": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFfvw6IonmA
However the actual commercial I remember remains elusive.
Whoever posted on The Phantasy Star Pages website in the memories section, in the late 1990s, gave a perfect description of the U.S. television ad I am talking about:

The first time I'd ever seen or heard about Phantasy Star was in a television commercial for the Master System. Several games were advertised with the last one being the, "Incredible Phantasy Star." The pictures shown were a walk through the dungeons, a fight against a green dragon and a marauder, and Myau flying up to the Air Castle.
So if anyone has video of it somewhere, please share it.
