I was making a joke. %) <br>Personally, this merger may be benificial for both parties. Sega will have the capitol resources that it so badly needs, while Sammy will have Sega's skill, expertise and experience.

Maybe, but witness also Aruze's (another pachi-giant) destruction of the original SNK under their ownership.<p>The current SNK is in name only, as most of the original programmers and artists now work for different companies (like Shinkirou working for Capcom)... -_-<p>Just call me pessimistic.

The current SNK is the revived one. The head of the pachinko giant was the head of the old SNK. After SNK's demise, he had success with pachinko machines, and with that money, he revived SNK.<br>So I doubt it's destructed.

They licensed out King of Fighters 2000 and 2001 to Korean developer Eolith, while most of their employees went to Playmore. Currently they operate under the name SNK Playmore, so it's essentially the same company.<p>IMO losing Shinkirou was a good thing.

SNK members going over to Capcom? Unheard of! Nah, they barried that hatchet long ago. :p<br>How could SNK be destroyed when they're developing a new King of Fighters? Currently they're developing two KOFs. Maximum Impact is the 3D one for the Playstation 2. Neo Wave is a traditional KOF dream match (non-canon) on the Atomiswave (that's right, they're putting the Neo Geo MVS out to pasture). No word on KOF 2004 yet.

Ah, it's nice to see that the world hasn't yet rejected the 2D fighters. But, sadly, it's becoming more of a hardcore group that plays them, so soon, they may not be profitable to produce them.

I was just on Conspiracys's website and they have a stock info link. It appears that their stock is pretty low right now ($0.14 a share) considering that the lowest it hit was $0.12. I wonder if this could be bad news.
