I know this appears to be stealing your main character, dr odin, but I just don't think anyone's got a better underutilized back-story than Neifirst; Not even Alis, who watched her own brother die in her arms, felt the pain that a failed experiment had go through for the scientists to decide she's a failure. Such emotion can easily prevent an otherwise straightforward mission from going well.
Neifirst- I think she's got a powerful, yet untapped story under those layers of pain from the Bio Plant. Such a sad past could easily throw a wrench into the goals of the group, shattering the higher motives that are supposed to be involved.
Nei-Given that these sisters would willingly hurt and even kill each other over their ideals, they'd probably make a dynamite duo if they were on the same side. I suspect there would be blood when they disagree, even over relatively trivial matters.
Lutz(PSI)- He's intelligent, making him a good anchor of logic to keep the sisters in check. With his Pre-PSI version as the base, he'll still be inexperienced enough to learn new things during the adventures.
Debugger(PSIV)- When words and wisdom fail, you just gotta fix things the hard way. That's why this brute's here, 'cause he loves the hard way of fixing things.
Prophallus(PSIV)- Even hatred can turn against itself, and I think that it'd be interesting to see a Dark Force vs. Dark Force fight. If such a fight is ever possible, it would completely destroy the underpinning notions that evil is always evil, and pure hatred can't hate itself.
If the Great Light managed to recruit Neifirst to improve the world before Mother Brain managed to turn her against the human race, her abilities would likely make her one of the most feared of the "good guys", and would likely tip the balance towards the Light much sooner. The question that would naturally surfaces is: How can you truly tell if you're doing the right thing? Once the thought crosses the Numan's mind, the black-and-white view of what's wrong in the world would be obfuscated in her mind, which when combined with her lack of love for other people, would stop any possibility of an inevitable win or lose for either side. Such a loose cannon can help or hinder either side of the battle....
