benoit, dont call me stupid . and dont call me a *citizen* of anywhere either, i'm an EXILE. exiles do not have citizenship.
i know the explanation given by the plot. but that is insufficient. why earth? why, of all planets, this insignificant little prison planet? whats the link between here and Algol, apart from the fact that i got shoved down here *and sega wouldn't record THAT- its probably sega's fault*. did any of the earthmen survive to further sabotage stuff on algol? the earthmen were supposed to have built motherbrain- why didnt anyone notice there were aliens in the control tower? how did that start? did the earthmen just dress up as rappies and run around motavia offering people free floppies 'here, its called motherbrain, you'll love it, honest'.
introducing tons of new information into the conclusion is NOT a good way to write, which is what ps2 did.
as for ps3, i can't know that soemthing is debatable from playing a game. people debate things, games just churn out plots. and i still think there would be too much chaos from the parallel universes for the flow of time to proceed smoothly to ps4.
there are different levels of understanding. i know the basics, but i have begun to question them as i have looked at them again. thats how philosophy works- the more you look at things, the more you don't know. for example, i never accept 'bad and 'good' as an explanation for anything any more. level guardians are important to the structure of a game and keep universes alive. the true evil is chaos and things going wrong. i know dern well who the plot says is good and evil though.
[Edit by The Exile on [TIME]1089223948[/TIME]]

[Edit by The Exile on [TIME]1089232624[/TIME]]

I agree that DF must have had to corrupt the Earthmen, but you cannot be corrupted unless you have that desire. Perhaps DF appealed to the flaw that every human has: human nature. So, you could argue that it was not entirely the Earthmen's fault, but they certainly aren't innocent.

benoit, dont call me stupid you pso-loving traitor to the series

I thought we made a truce, you big liar!
I'm not a traitor because I still love Phantasy Star!
Are you going to discriminate people's love for the games based on what they played? What are you going to say when someone walks in and says that only the ones who started with PSII are the true fans?

and dont call me a *citizen* of anywhere either, i'm an EXILE. exiles do not have citizenship.

But you sure do a good job at pretending to have BEEN a citizen in Algol.
ACT NORMAL.

as for ps3, i can't know that soemthing is debatable from playing a game

It's logical knowledge that when a game has multiple endings we don't know which is the true ending, unless the game says otherwise with a bunch of credits you wouldn't get with other endings, an extra scene or whatever.
Also, your stupidity shows itself again because there is only ONE ending in PSIII with THEM ENTERING A BLACK HOLE.

i know the explanation given by the plot. but that is insufficient. why earth? why, of all planets, this insignificant little prison planet? whats the link between here and Algol, apart from the fact that i got shoved down here
(snip, include the rest here, too long)
introducing tons of new information into the conclusion is NOT a good way to write, which is what ps2 did.

Who the hell are you to judge? And the developers may choose any planet they want. Choosing Earth actually makes it far more dramatic and makes us think. Would it have any impact it were just some aliens from some lightyears away?
It's called drama, and a plot twist!
This is a Phantasy Star board. You claim to have played the games, to be a fan of them. You're EXPECTED to know certain things about the games, yet it looks like you're only here to make a fool out of yourself and waste our time because you couldn't even use your brain to read what is on the screen and think.
Go to hell.
EDIT: Unneeded insults removed.
[Edit by Benoit on [TIME]1089232236[/TIME]]

e you going to discriminate people's love for the games based on what they played?

not always true. in dark savior, there are five (poss. six) endings and they are considered to all have happened.

Choosing Earth actually makes it far more dramatic and makes us think.

i dont think thats the only reason they put it in there. they are saying that algol and earth have interacted before, possibly many times, without ordinary people from either earth or algol knowing.

This is a Phantasy Star board.
thats before you started insulting me vehemently for no reason in the middle of a topc.

Hey, I did put up the NO OFFENCE sign. Can't read? Plus, you never mentioned in your truce that insulting would break the truce, so what you say is void and you are just a big liar.

i'm not pretendng we're friends any more

We ever were?!

besides, the other members sya they will not stop posting pso-related stuff on the phantasy star board so it wont work.

Since the truce was between us and to stop OUR fighting, it would have worked. At least THEY didn't go bashing/hailing PSO needlessly.

if you call pso a phantasy star you are saying you want the series to be corrupted and destroyed. thats not loving phantasy star.

That's YOUR corrupted mindset. I can still love Phantasy Star and also love PSO! Because I DON'T THINK LIKE YOU!

not always true. in dark savior, there are five (poss. six) endings and they are considered to all have happened.

That must be the stupidest thing I have heard, unless it had to do with dimensions and parralel universes... which Phantasy Star does not.

i dont think thats the only reason they put it in there. they are saying that algol and earth have interacted before, possibly many times, without ordinary people from either earth or algol knowing.

Yeah right. Again you don't know a thing, because it has NEVER happened in the past.

not knowing every single detail of a game doesnt mean you are stupid or haven't played the game much.

...Those aren't even details. They are logical knowledge.
Anyway, then don't join discussions about things you don't know anything about.

it also doesnt mean you are not algolian. just because you lived on a planet, doesnt mean they know everything about (snip)

But you DID play the games, and THAT'S HOW you considered being Algolian.
EDIT: Unneeded insults removed.
[Edit by Benoit on [TIME]1089232333[/TIME]]

if you call pso a phantasy star you are saying you want the series to be corrupted and destroyed. thats not loving phantasy star.

No! This has gone on far too long. You have never even bothered to play far enough into PSO to find the story...if you did, you would find the same themes that occur in ALL of the Phantasy Star games. I won't listen to you bash the game when you didn't even try to enjoy it. You are entitled to an opinion, but this is getting ridiculous. Your criticization doesn't even apply to PSO. You obviously haven't played Episode III.

not knowing every single detail of a game doesnt mean you are stupid or haven't played the game much. it just means you arent pedantic and a plot slave. it also doesnt mean you are not algolian. just because you lived on a planet, doesnt mean they know everything about its history, sociology, weapons, shop prices, exp for every monster etc. plus, someone on algol would have no logical reason to play phantasy star. why should they simulate the world when they live there?

It's a time to drop this roleplaying thing.
And both of you quit using insults...it shows poor conduct.

Hey, I did put up the NO OFFENCE sign. Can't read?

how exactly was i not supposed to take offence? what you said was an insult. you said i did not know anything about ps and was not algolian.

Since the truce was between us and to stop OUR fighting, it would have worked.
the stupidest thing I have heard, unless it had to do with dimensions and parralel universes... which Phantasy Star does not.

ps does have something to do with parallel universes because ps3 has choices in the game that cant have all happened at the same time, and conflicting endings. if you play them all, you have seen four parallel universes.

Yeah right. Again you don't know a thing, because it has NEVER happened in the past.

how do you know? it doesnt say where dark force/falz came from originally. he might have come from earth.

..Those aren't even details. They are logical knowledge.

how can they be logical knowledge if they arent absolutely true, just by looking at them? i have to play the game to know them. they're empirically true. and, because they're only small bits of the endings of the games, theyre minor details.

Anyway, then don't join discussions about things you don't know anything about.

and how do you logically get from the fact thati dont know everything about ps to the fact that i dont know ANYTHING about ps?
edit: references to pso removed.
[Edit by The Exile on [TIME]1089232779[/TIME]]

ps does have something to do with parallel universes because ps3 has choices in the game that cant have all happened at the same time, and conflicting endings. if you play them all, you have seen four parallel universes.

Not that kind of parralel universe. The real ones.
We don't know which one is real, and it's never hinted at.
If you do believe they are parralel universes, then you have your answer: they all happened.
So what the hell are you argueing about?

how do you know? it doesnt say where dark force/falz came from originally. he might have come from earth.

How is Dark Force a contact to the Algolians? Doesn't make sense.

how can they be logical knowledge if they arent absolutely true, just by looking at them? i have to play the game to know them. they're empirically true. and, because they're only small bits of the endings of the games, theyre minor details.

The things you didn't know were actually major things, which are what the endings are about. Those are also things you pick up when you play, and would have to be asleep for not knowing.

and how do you logically get from the fact thati dont know everything about ps to the fact that i dont know ANYTHING about ps?

You assume I meant about Phantasy Star as a whole, while that's not true.
I'm talking about things like certain party members which you don't know, endings, and such. Mandatory knowledge.
