How should PS3 be remade?

Postby xrick » Thu Jul 15, 2010 3:23 pm

I may be creating this post, but it doesn't mean I'm gonna take an interest on Phantasy Star 3, as I simply can't stand it (I'm sorry if I'm offending someone... :?).

It's just that a few ideas have striken my head that could be well used in a possible enhanced remake of PS3, if it ever were to exist (as my so wished PS4 Remake :cry:):
- I don't know if the story about that war in PS3 is well fleshed in the game, but if it isn't, they could do it;
- They should just pick on monsters of the past games (PS4 included) and add a few of the game's originals, at least a bit revamped, as they are all horrific;

And now, the big thing that striked my mind:
- In the ending where Alisa III is reaching a new planet, they could make it a very nice and definite reference to Ragol of PSO, maybe by showing in the ending's final moments the three symbols found on PSO;
- Dark Falz could also look a little like PSO's one, mixing elements from that one with elements from the classic ones (like having it's lower body part like the PSO's 1st Form, and the majority of the body like the classic ones).

So, what do you think of my thoughts and ideas?
Any comments? Any addicional ideas?

Ffs, why do you patronise us lot by thinking we'd be even remotely offended by someone who apologises for everything on this board? :roll:

"Ur, I apologise for having a sandwich, taking a shit, etc. If having a coffee offends you, I am deeply sorry, blah, blah."

Anyway, to answer your initial inquiry, there's an uber-slim chance of any of the phantasy star games ever going to get a chance for another remake. The PSU games are getting more attention than the classics are anyway.

The likelihood of a remake is through fan games, and I dread the thought of another fan remake like Lyla's...

PSIII needs only better animations (not graphics) and a storyline (dialogs).

Mieu in a thong, you say? LOL
That could be a good one LOL

MAN!!! I've checked towns and dungeons through the maps in the site, but... GOD!!!

All towns use the same tileset, seem devoid of people or house interiors...
The dungeons seem short and the enemies... Man, I had to check them again... :( The non-human, of course... How could they design a Dark Falz that doesn't seem the least bit like all the others?

They really had to work really hard for this game to become a jewel...

My spider sense tingles at someone giving ideas for a remake of a game that he hasn't played...

I'm seeing a bit of the game through Youtube...
And my opinion of it doesn't change a bit... :?

Also, gotta make a repair on my remarks, since the towns are not so empty as I initially thought (my mistake), but are still as empty of furniture as I checked.

Movies can be criticized after watching them. Games can be criticized after playing them.

How about those who played it up to the point where they couldn't take it anymore? ;) Honestly Zucca and Benoit, I played that game for 3 or 4 hours back when it came out and I really tried to enjoy it but compared to PS2 heck even PS1, that game just didn't do it for me. I will criticize it for what it is which is not much in my book.

By this point, PSIII is like one of those oft-hated movies that everybody familiar with knows what the flaws are and agree that they're present, but among whom will always be people who like it (or even love it) in spite of said flaws, while others are easily justified in not liking it.

That's fair if you gave it a honest try. That's not the case with xrick, though. He's one of those PSIV fans who bashes the earlier games for questionable reasons.

PS3 is my favorite one in the series... While I can easily agree there's room for improvement, it remains one of my favorite games to this day.
I've traveled back in time... 300 years... Just to call you a "Cracker"!
