Phantasy Star Drama CD discussion

Discuss anything related to the Phantasy Star series

Postby xrick » Wed Jul 07, 2010 7:54 am

Well, if this can give some light...

I heard PS4 Drama CD with the translations on the side, and if that falls into canon, Eusis might have survived the final battle and returned to Motavia (even if brielfy), as he left Nei's Claws in the care of an ancestor of the old man that would make business with 13-year-old Rudy.

I could have mentioned this back at the start of this topic, but prefered to hear your answers first... Hope you don't get pissed at me for it...

The Drama CD script mentions a man with blue hair. That could have been Lutz or someone else too.

I really believe it was Eusis, you know...

Here's an excert of the translation I caught of the Drama CD:
«Roy: Well, that would be from a long, long time ago, back when monsters had come to this village. A blue-haired young man who had saved this village had entrusted the weapon to one of my ancestors for hiding. He said he would come back once more for it. But that young man never again came to this town.»

And since the Nei's Claws only came to light in PS2... You can guess the rest...

There were no Nei Claws in PSII. Of course, if you had played the game, you'd know that. :P

What makes you think this can't be Lutz or one of his... um, impersonators?

xrick, there wasn't a pair of Nei Claws. If there were, Nei would be the only person able to equip them. I don't think they're included in the remake either, but Corey can correct me on that.

You shouldn't jump to conclusions when you haven't played through the game, you know.

Fine, use my inexperience on the game to blow all of my theories and possibilities in the Classics storyline...

Anyway, I still believe it was Eusis...

I will continue to point out you're talking out of your arse with your implausible conjecture, so don't you fret, petal.

And less of the sensitivity please.

Their fate is left ambiguous by the game developers. Their spirits live on as a part of the Elsydeon's holy power.

Honestly, you don't have to be so desperate about it. It's not that hard to believe that at least some of the PSII crew survived. It's equally plausible that they lived or died. Either way, the earthmen and Noah were destroyed, so whatever their own outcome, their mission was successful, which is the most important part, anyway.

I never said it can't be him. I said it was not necessarily him.

OK, fine... Let's not argue it any longer, it's pointless.

Chill pills anyone?

Old man Roy does say that, so there is some possibiliy tit was Eusis, but I think it's more likely it was Lutz. Especially with how bad the whole mission of destroying Mother Brain ended (going by my interpretation of Eusis and company dying).

I need to get my hands on the PS Drama again.

By the way, I remember some of the names of the actors...

Nei: Kotono Mitsuishi
Fal: Yukana Nogami
Forren: Sho Hayami

Although that's just from memory, and because I happen to like the work those have done.
