When you first meet Rune...

Hello.

I was just recently having a big hankering for Phantasy Star, and I went and started playing Phantasy Star 4 again.

And I reached the part where you first meet Rune. And there was a comment Alys made that i never really noticed or read into before.

So, you all know the scene. Chaz and Rune are going back and fourth, and Chaz goes, "I think he is going to be more trouble than he is worth."

Rune replies, "Ha! At least I wont get in anyone's way."

Alys then says to him, "You already have."

"You already have."

What do you all think this implies ?

At the very same scene, there's at least one translation error which makes you think that Rune always knew Chaz's name. But in original Japanese text Chaz's name is mentioned to Rune before he makes his statement where he confirms Chaz's name.
I think this might be one translation error too.

Someone please dig up the original translation. I'm too tired now.

I think it implies that he already got in Chaz' way.

Apparently in the game's backstory, which you can read about in the PS Compendium, Rune and Alys hung out together as young adults, until Rune eventually buggered off so Alys could grow to be independant.
