playing PSII with Evil Overload mod

Hi all, I felt like sharing and gathering information about this mod's gameplay since I couldn't find any good topic about it.
It is the 'difficulty improved' version of Numan Revolution mod.
http://pscave.com/dow/hacks/

I'm grinding Rolf, Nei, Shir, Kain, Anna and, to a lesser extent, Amy.
The characters are very well balanced and scripted, Nei doesn't level up all That much and she learns some more techniques.
I'm not going to use Rudo because I find him boring.
I tried fire staffs on Amy and she does more or less Shir's laser knife damage. I'm not going to use the redhead anymore as long as Shir's trimates work fine.
It would be nice to try the 'new Hugh' but i'm okay.

Now i'm in Climatrol with a lvl18-19 party, I'm trying not to use maps and when I first found the Boss I got one-shotted by the sword attack (having 110-140 hp!).

I'm always buying a lot of trimates and they easily go away (and I like the challenge).

There is an improved equipment (well balanced and not excessive) so I'm assuming Shir&Nei will be able to wield something deadly near the end of the game..

Also, treasure loots, monster colors (maybe I prefer the older ones but you can avoid this by playing numan revolution instead of evil overload), stat gain per lvl up, game script/storyline have been improved.

If someone's got some experience with these mods, please share °_°d

This mod has ticked me off!! I'm playing it too, I've just gotten into playing other people's mods, and it said it was to add some cool stuff, and also cut build up time. I've had to build up more in this remake! The enemies are so much stronger! I like it, I love the competition, but it's not delivering what it said it did... I am building up MORE trying to beat your super buffed enemies, and honestly... If you're going to make the monsters this much stronger than they were, why didn't you redo the dungeons? So, I'm playing the same exact game, with some tweaks on the items, and building up twice as much? Why!? And you said, "Nei at the end of the game"... Does Nei live in this patch? I'm still building up to buy everyone's best stuff... I'm in Kueri, and just got Shir in my group, and I'm trying to get everyone's best equipment before I take on getting the gum.

Yes, she lives and also learns cool techniques (though you have to put a simple code on the emulator whenever you want to go home and switch characters. When it's time, ask me if you get confused about that [you shouldn't btw]).

About grinding: I don't think you're grinding twice as much.. You should note that exp and meseta are kinda doubled. The only times I felt like grinding are when I exchange characters and have for example a underleveled character which I let fight by him\herself to quickly get the needed exp.

I don't know, are you using Amy? I think she's pretty useless if you use Nei or Shir.
Maybe you just have to set up a good party, mine is Rolf - Nei - Anna - Shir and works fine even in Dezo. And I use Kain too.
Don't forget that it's not just a item-tweak mod: characters learn techniques in a different way, you get everyone at your home since Piata..

Oh, are you using _every_ character? If that's the case, no wonder why you strive to build up and get everyone's good stuff °.°

Bingo, I'm using every character... Well, not on a whole... If Nei is sticking around my party will undoubtly be Rolf, Rudo, Nei, and Anna... However, yeah... If everyone has more stuff, I'd need to build them up to see it... The enemies do give more EXP and MST I agree, although, they power house until you can afford the proper equipment to deal with them.

Nice then, with Rudo Nei and Anna you'll kick asses. Instead of using everyone you could eventually go for a second playthrough. And let know if Rudo learns anything :p
