They will never make like that again.... proper shame.

innit. I was actually quite sad when the team disbanded and the game ended. But meh, no hope for a new one, or at least a proper RPG solo campaign one. Too bad.

What am I missing out on, exactly? Just another army-based FPS that's what. Killzone looks good though.

Aye, there something about them oldskool RPG games.

Todays RPG's are good but the ones iv played are far too easy...

I remember playing ps2 when I was about 16 without any maps/help. I got through it but the time grinding through it I felt an achievement when I beat it...

Haven't played PS online or universe but am not that interested...

Iv enjoyed going back through 2 and 4 11 years later... there still as good as I remember them to be...

Shame about ps3 though...

Yes. The one thing I'm mad about SEGA is that thay told PSIII team to finish the game so early that they had to rush it. ;|

I might of said this before, but PSIII had potential to be very epic. There is a lot of good ideas in the game that had potential, but not enough time. I would of liked it to see the generations extended quite a bit and have four real endings instead of three. Also, some of the enemies I don't think really fit in with the game that much (Man, a face that wiggles its ear to attack, or a giant that point its finger).

Yes, It's not like I don't like the PS3. Like you say it has the potential to be a great game but because it's so unfinished I just can't enjoy it as much as the others.

The idea behind it is very well thought out.

I think I would have have been better to not be PS3 but like a side game to the other series.

Shame they didn't have the time to complete it... don't really understand that one because it the end they only hurting the sales and the reputation of the brand in the end.

Would have been better to wait and get a kick arse game on the selves.

We'll likely never know what PS3 could have been had it had more time to realize it's potential.

I've always considered it to be the weakest of the 3 Genesis PS titles (oddly, I still enjoyed playing PS3 more than PS1), and while I do believe it had much potential, one of the things I always consider is that PS3 was a big break away from where the PS series seemed to be headed at the time.

It fully seemed to be a strange mix of fantasy and sci-fi where you find yourself the prince of a kingdom searching for your bride-to-be, and all seems well and medieval like till you come across the android (girl?) who has been waiting a thousand years for you (makes you wonder how long the other one in the desert was waiting) and then to find out that you're not on a planet at all, but an enormous space ship designed to simulate (albiet, poorly, if you think about it) a planetary atmosphere.

All in all, I believe (and I speak only for myself in ALL this) PS3 was about as good as it was going to get. Yes, they could have done a better job of music scoring (altho the DF music is an awesome tune) and yes... being killed by a giants wagging finger inspires little past aggrivation and humiliation... They could have made it a better game by tweaking a few things, but the over all feel of the game suggests, to me, that PS3 couldn't have been much better and in all likelihood, had they had more time to work on things, may very well have hurt the game more than anything else.

This IS just my opinion tho... and I certainly see room for error in it, however, having given it enough thought, this is the conclusion I've reached for this "what-if" scenario... and if there's something I didn't quite back up in my theory, feel free to point it out.

For one thing, a proper battle theme would have made battles much more enjoyable. A streamlined battle interface would have helped a lot as well.

These would have made PSIII a better game for sure.

I did make a few examples leaning on those points, however by "better" i was insinuating as far as storyline/PS relevence was concerned. Certainly, PS3 had room to improve the quality of the mechanics overall.
