Rename Phantasy Star titles

Postby Dr_Odin » Sat Oct 18, 2008 9:45 pm

Lets be a little bit creative here. What would you rename the Phantasy Star titles to (for example changing "Phantasy Star IV: The end of the milenium" to "Phantasy Star IV: I love pineapples"? here are my choices:

Phantasy Star: Alis the female powerqueen (lol)
Phantasy Star II: The end of times
or
Phantasy Star II: Destruction
Phantasy Star III: Generations of Time
Phantasy Star IV: Darkness and Light

What are your choices? Be creative :)

Phantasy Star I: The heroes which will inspire legends.
Phantasy Star II: Algo re-shaped... The destruction of Palm.
Pantasy Star III: Generations of cruel destiny... The forgotten.
Phantasy Star IV: The end of darkness.

Or:

Phantasy Star III: Balls of steel!

Sorry I couldn't help it!

I like the original titles more though. They seem to better fit the games.

Serious titles:
Phantasy Star: Fall of La Shiec
Phantasy Star II: The Mother Brain
Phantasy Star III: The Longest Journies
Phantasy Star IV: The End of Darkness

Reasons:
PSI--- Obvious. Spelled Lashiec like that because that was his orginal name.

PSII--- Well, it says the last boss' name. That's all.

PSIII--- It's technically the longest of the serious, spanning three whole generations!

PSIV--- It just fit to me.
I wonder what people will see in the final days?

Looks like this title for PSIV is popular. ;)

BTW. Does any PS game's plot happen after the time of PSIV? Did Chaz and other really eliminate the very last bits of darkness?

Part of Japanese PSIII takes place after PSIV. I'm still wondering where it is mentioned that Orakio and Laya started a war 1000 years after they left Palma, though.

Oh crud! I didn't even see the post made up there by Danny. Sorry, Danny!

And some of it takes place AFTER PSIV? Strange. Looks like chaz didn't do a great job at taking down The Profound Darkness if another Dark Force was unleashed.

Wasn't that the non-Japaneses release was taking place, partially, during the events of IV? And the Japanese version was taking place some time after (1000 years seems good).

That's assuming the Dark Force was unleashed after PSIV. In both timelines, this doesn't seem to be the case.

Looking back at "The Two Phantasy Stars", you're right. English PSIII takes place partially after PSIV, and Japanese PSIII 1000 years later.
