There's a hint book for every game on the planet... maybe even the orginal tetris lol. In any case, I wouldn't know, I only played PSIII in collab disks and once on an emulator. I only really use online strategy guides. They're more helpful in most cases.Barren_Wastelands wrote:Heroic_Chaz wrote:I think perhaps because games of PSIII's scope and size were not common int he US at the time, they added the hint book to go witht he game itself to help gamers along... they did that for PS II as well.
I bought both PS2 and PS3 as a kid, and I did get the PS2 hintbook but no book for PS3. I didn't even know there was one.

It has dungeon and town maps, but they tend to just go "look for a powerful sword and protection in this dungeon" instead of actually stating what you'll find and where. The maps are made up of screencaps from a TV, so the image quality isn't the best, and you'll see the party standing around in like 20 different locations per map - anything you'll find online is likely better.
It's been a while since I looked at it, but I don't think it mentions the items that can be used to duplicate tech effects, either. I believe stats for weapons/armour/enemies are also missing. So yeah, if you want a walkthrough, there are much better ones online.
