Besides Phantasy Star, what other video game series do you guys like, and why? My personal favorite is the Tales series. They all have good plots and even the older ones found ways to program the game to make it way logner than usual games.

Shining series!
Interesting (or maybe not so) fact: In both series, Phantasy Star and Shining, the first games had 3D dungeons.
Shining in/and the Darkness is 100% dungeon crawler, while PSI is about 50%. ;)

I do like the Shining and Tales myself, But I also like the recetn Neverwinter Nights games.

Baldur's Gate series, Planescape Torment, Star Control 2, Prince of Persia series, old Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog series...

Soul Blazer (Gaia), Chrono, Langrisser, Shining Force, Breath of Fire and Seiken Densetsu series. I think that's about all of my favorite ones. Of course, that's not also including solo game series.

Wow, looks like Tale sis more popular than I thought. I tried joing the forums but their mods are NEVER on, so no one sent me an e-mail yet for my confirmation to join, and it's been SIX weeks lol. But then I found this place and I became happy.

I also like the Final Fantasy Series, working on 12 right now. I loooove Fran

The Tales series was indeed quite good but I only really got into Tales of Phantasia for the super nintendo. As for the Star Ocean series, I only really liked the first game also for the super nintendo. The characters looked a lot like the ones from Tales of Phantasia which was nice. Claude, the main character in Star Ocean 2 looks like a cheap rip off of Chaz from PSIV.
