Well we know there are a ton of old FF remakes, latest one being the PSP verisons of FF1-4. Sufficed to say the PSP versions are awesome. I love the widescreen high res 2D graphics on FF1 and 2 and the music was revamped and sound so much better. It just can't get any better then that. Question is will there ever be any DQ remakes? Specfically DQ 1 and 2? I do know they were already remade for the snes. But it'd be nice to see it on the PSP, getting the same treatment as FF1 and 2 in terms of overall improvements in sound and gfx. Anyone else would like to see some old school rpgs get a makeover? Say it here.

We all know for sure PS3 needs a super serious makeover thats for sure. Specifically in the "everything" department. :mrgreen:

If I am not mistaken, the DQ remakes have already been released. DQ 3 (or one of them) featured Dragon Ball Z art for the characters (as have several famous RPGs, Secret of Mana being at the top of the list) <R.I.P. Squaresoft>. While it was an enjoyable game, I don't see many people pinning for DQ remakes so much as new DQ games that have a sensible return to roots. Don't get me wrong... I grew up on Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, and Ultima, so I know my roots. It's just that asking for DQ remakes is about the same as asking for Ultima remakes... It's a good idea, but no one is going to pick up on it.

But, if it means anything, I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

What are you talking about? The PSP only got RPG Maker-esque remakes of FFI and FFII. The DS got the FFIII and FFIV remakes.

Screw the PSP. Dragon Quest IV, V an VI got released for the DS.

never knew there was a DQ remake for the DS... looks like i gotta get my hands on a DS then.

they haven't released any DQ remakes for the DS yet. They just started work on dq4 for the DS and dq9 won't be out til end of year in japan.

I want to see Landstalker on the PSP... waah...
I'd like to see some Saturn games remade. While they already looked awesome, they all had flaws that could be removed. Dark Savior wasn't long enough, Shining Force 3 was 2/3 Japanese only, Dragon Force could do with having some diplomacy and trade options so you're not constantly at war with everything that moves, and a multi-player option.

I also would like to see a remade Hydlide game. Everyone says they hate Hydlide 3 (except I'd contest that the background music rocks) but nobody's tried to remake it to get rid of all the flaws. The plot is awesome and all the dungeon concepts are the best I've seen.
