What would you, the Phannies like to see in the new game?

If that's the way it is, I think they'll realy base PSU on phantasy star serie unlike PSO. <p>If that's a MMORPG, we'll probably be able to go in Paseo, Ryzel etc... that way it will be a Phantasy star online without being the sequel of PSO (as they said they wouldn't make a sequel to PSO as we know it) and it will also be a sequel of Phantasy star...<p>I don't want a MMORPG, I want a good classic RPG. arrrg what ever the programmers do in an MMORPG, even if they do the best story, the best fight, the best characters... it always end up talking about anything but the game.

zoothe, don't insult Sega for something you don't like while the rest enjoys it thorougly. I love PSO, and to many of us it's a great way to continue the Phantasy Star legacy without turning to dumb ways like "OMG the Profound Darkness is still alive!!!11".<p>And you can't trust IGN. They make things up. GameSpot is the way to go... most of the time.

yeah, fuck ign. Their MMORPG fact seems to be a little fishy. Anyways, the trailer suggests origins for most of the characters shown (i.e. the morphing guy being and older brother figure to the little bastard on his back, the horned girl seems to be arriving on some kind of mission). I personally liked Neo48's suggestion (some of you may enjoy this). Seemed like a good way to make the game with an involved story and online play. I'm sure we all have our own version of the game already thought out though, and i'm also sure we're all dead wrong

Wow this is my first time visiting this site, and I must say I am amazed by the love that so many people have for the game that we all played constantly as kids. Next, What do I expect from the next PS, ideally it would be a continuation of PS I, II, IV. (III sucked...did anyone play that thing?) <p>However, I think that the sad reality of it all is that PS IV came out in what....94, and there is no way a company would ever make a sequel to a game series from so long ago...this is not the movies. So keeping that in mind I would like to see it as a turn based mmorpg (is that impossible?) I personally do not think that it is impossible for a MMORPG to be without an amzing single player storyline.....Diablo II although not necessarily a MMORPG had an amazing storyline.<p>Finally, I can not see them creating a PS game in this gaming era that is not a MMORPG.

A turn based MMORPG??? OMG, I hope not...that would really suck. Turn based system is good for single player RPG (where you alone control a party of characters), not for multiplayer.<p>And I DO love PS3...

it would have to be fully real-time like PSO. <p>But an MMORPG huge world would be great, as well as being able to party with more than 3 others (at least 5). <p>they should make the costumes more decent though. But I guess they are sticking to the funky garments similiar to PSO.<p>it can't be Algo though.... Palm was destroyed. yet the logo shows 3 planets. <p>maybe it's a prequel to the first one? <p>aaah where are the Motavians and Dezorians? <p>hmmmmmm.<p>well anyway. a MMORPG sized world(s) with true realtime combat (freedom of movement and actions) would be really sweet.<p>

I honestly wouldn't mind an MMORPG if they wouldn't center it around 1 area like PSO, what I mean is not just the dumb ship and a few places you could warp down to, it would be so damn freaking sweet if you could have an MMORPG that takes place in the Algo Solar System, think about it being able to go on the planets and the space stations would be sweet! Of course it would need to be diffrent but it would be very cool to check out the PS series saga though a E-RL point of view (E-RL=Internet Real life) Seriously if they do another PSO I wont be buying it.

Or how about...each planet is a "server". A US server, Europe, and Japan. Each with its own story, but where you live is set as your "home world". Heh, I'm just thinking away.....<p>

I like the emotes from FFXI. <p>its cool how you could make your character clap, sit, wave, nod, etc.! <p>PSU should have something like that. well maybe.
