PS2 Dam Colors

Postby Santa.. » Sun Sep 23, 2007 3:11 am

A random thought came into my head the other day. I realized that the colors of the four dams in PSII are the same four colors that are used in PS1 dungeons (Green, Red, Yellow, Blue). I wonder, is this a coincidence, or was it a nod to the original game by the developers?

Sorry if this has already been discussed before. I'm thinking now that this was maybe totally obvious to everyone but me?

I can't honestly say I noticed that before. That's interesting!

By the way, I like your avatar. Did you draw it yourself?

But it could do with a bit of witty text in the picture, methinks. :)

I never thought of that, but I don't think it's intended. Those are just the four most important colours. :)

Myeah, they're the first colors that come to mind when you have to name 4...

I mean, true, it would have been much cooler if we got the Dark Magenta Dam, the Turquoise Dam, the Ochre Dam and the Bright Lilac With Yellow Polka-Dots Dam, but somehow, I don't think that'd work. XD

I want a RAINBOW DAM, DAMNIT.

As for the color thing, I've never noticed.

Something nice and psychedelic! It will make me fall over in a seizure and have me drool for the rest of my life.

Just imagine the enemies you'd run into there.

Needs to shoot rainbow lasers now.

Also, hot pink dam. Cause we want our eyes to burn.

Hot pink would be so cool! You'd go blind from the pinkness, thus getting lost before getting anywhere.

AKA, the dams after a "Queer Eye" makeover?

"Oh, those water tanks over there are SO not doing it for the Feng Shui in this area... We're gonna move that chute over there, the treasure box goes right here.... Oh, that grey is so gauche. *tsk tsk tsk* That will never do. I got some cute lilac paint here, and some matching fur lining for the inside!"

....And you know, while we're at it... isn't it so much easier if we just put the console to open and close the dams in case there's an emergency... Like, right here next to the entrance, so you don't have to walk a convoluted deathcourse whenever the dams need to be opened? Just saying, y'know.

I'm sorry Pee.. But you don't have the required hole and depth to use it to the full capacity.

I recommend a nifty little codpiece instead..

I'm sure we can colorize and paint it!
