I know that this might sound kind of stupid, but I was wondering how you all pronounced the names of the PS characters. So I'll start off with the most...er...confusing ones and how I pronounce them...please post with finetically spelled words...
Mieu= mew
Shir=sure
Nei=nay
Dark Falz=dark-fellz
Orakio=or-ack-eo
Rulikir=roo-lick-er (with emphasis on the first syllable)
Kyra=Kai-ra (kai rimes with fly)
Myau=my-yow (yow as in yowl)
Ryhs=rice
So, what do you think?

[Edit by LaconianShot on [TIME]1083265367[/TIME]]

Heh, guess I pronounce the names like most people.
If I'm right, Benoit, bleu isn't said like mew, correct? Does that mean that you pronounce Mieu, more or less, like "Mee-uh"?
And spell finetically please! That means spell the words the way they're said.

Since Japanese is a phonetic language, pronunciation is quite easy. Of the ones above, Miz's has the most correct Japanese names. The ones changed obviously don't apply. (Kyra/Shess)
As for Rhys, it rhymes with "peace" and it's a proper british name.

Now, here's a test for you..........Laya--and no, it's not like the Star Wars character.
(guesses anyone?)

Seeing that those are not english names, I think they deserve a neutral pronunciation, something latin/japanese/indo-european.
Mieu= Mee-eh-oo
Shir=Sheer
Nei=Nay
Dark Falz=dark... err... falz
Orakio=or-ah-keo
Rulikir=roo-lack-eer
Kyra=Kee-ra
Myau=mee-ow (like, the sound of a cat... naturally)
Ryhs=rees

As for Rhys, it rhymes with "peace" and it's a proper british name.

Interesting! I did not know that. As for "Laya", I've always pronounced it as "la-ya", with emphasis on the "la" syllable.

I guess that it would be lai-yah (lai is in fly).
Oh! I forgot Rolf!
role-f
Though I've heard it pronounced as rall-f and rol-f (short, not elongated, so it's like wolf).
