It's hard to say what I truly want and far easier to say what I don't want...
I don't want Sega to screw this one up. Essentially, I want them to keep the features themes and traits of the original Phantasy Star intact. I want them to execute the whole game tastefully, without giving into demands for some FFXI knock-off, EQ style game or Morrowind type game. Said basically: I don't want Sega to give in to mainstream RPG demands and ruts. No typical boring MMORPGs... preferably, not an MMORPG at all. Lastly, I do not want PSU to based around online play. Online play as an added (but not necessary, as it basically was in PSO) feature will be fine, but if the game itself is based on online play, I'll have to kill somebody.
I'm afraid of Sega using PSU as a means of digging themselves out of their rut in a bad way. It will be great if they do so, but if it's by giving in to mainstream demands, I'd rather it (and Sega) fail miserably by making a truly unique and well executed game. That, at least, will leave good memories in our minds, as opposed to bad ones and a continuing legacy of mainstream crap.
