There's no real basis. They're holding polls for "Best. Game. Ever.".<p>Needless to say, most people at GameFAQs are morons, and it seems it is going to be proven once again.

The poll probably shouldn't be known as "Best Game. Ever."<p>It should probably be titled "Most Publicized Game. Ever." (Phantasy Star isn't the most well known series).<br>

Thrown out at the first turn... Well, I never took Gamefaqs contests too much seriously, after all it's no wonder why Cloud Sephirot and Link are always in the final rounds, especially since for a year Gamefaqs is no more a single person site, but has been acquired by, well, I can't remember WHO, but since then things has slightly changed, for the worse.
