OK...but put *POSSIBLE SPOILER* in your title (edit it) :)
>>>>>>>>*POSSIBLE SPOILER*<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
So, I'll continue PSI's story...
So Alis sets out to find the man named Odin. From surrounding towns, she finds out that he is hunting Medusa in a cave south of Camineet. When she finds him, he is turned to solid stone. Long story short, she finds his companion, Myau, who has a liquid called Asulin (or Alshline, in PSIV) that returns Odin back to normal.
PSI isn't too linear, so I'll just say that before they set out to conquer Lassic, they fight a plethora of monsters, Medusa, a crazy doctor, gather an esper named Noah to their cause, travel to Motavia and Dezolis (other planets), storm a couple of prisons, at least 4 towers, a morgue, get a spacecraft flying robot named Hapsby, buy a hovercraft, icedigger and a landrover, and finally, collect an arsenal of Laconian weapons.
So then they feed Myau a magical Nut of Laerma on top of the tower of Baya Malay, and he grows wings and turns giant.
So they fly up to Lassic Air Castle (they see it with an Air Prism) and fight a Golden Dragon on the way up. When they get there, they trundle through a long complicated dungeon and at the end, find Lassic. Decked out in his best horned hat and creepy bluish-black robes, he keeps his pimping hand strong by shooting crazy rays of lightning at you. When you kill him, it's right back to the Governor of Motavia for some celebration! But when you get there, he's nowhere to be found! You move forward and fall down a pit trap. After a deep, dark dungeon, you come to a door with demons on it. You enter...and encounter the most evil being that has ever plagued Algol!
....skips long battle....
When that's done, the Governor says that he must have been posessed body and soul by evil. He asks you if you would like to rule Algol. It's you r choice, but Alis actually chooses no...see PS Gaiden.
....and thats the end!
*wheeze* Yeesh, that took a long time to tell! *wheeze*
I may tell the tale of PSII tomorrow.
HOw can you people STAND the small picture on Phantasy Star 2?
I was playing it on GBA and my gosh, you don't see everything you do on Genesis or the tv.
How do you put up with not seeing enough?
It has at least HALF of what the genesis version did on the screen when you walk!

Rest assured that there is not any english version of PS Collectionf for the Saturn, BUT it's worth having it anyway, it contains a LOT of artowk, especially from IV, it has the commercial that were programmed on japanese TVs, you get more save slots in III (I'm not sure), and PSI music is heard like it was intended to be in the original version (too bad the americans end european couldn't hear the FM sound).
Get it if you want the extras, but don't except nothing more than this.

I have it and am happy with it. Besides, it works with an ST-key on EU Saturn...my only problem is that my battery need to be replaced.

Here's an installment of the tale of PSII...
Rolf goes home to prepare for the long journey ahead. when he's about to leave, Nei is blockin his path. After some argument, Rolf agrees to take Nei along with him. So they leave for their mission. After some time, they come upon the town of Arima. It has been raided by scoundrels, and most of the people are dead. Upon talking to the townspeople, you find out that they are coming from the east. If you go back to your house,a new person will come to your house...Rudo, a hunter. He has little other talent, except that he is good with a gun. The three of you head off. If you adventure around, you will find a bridge. It is blocked by a man, Darum, who is robbing people as they pass. This has very little relevence to you now, but later, it is important. Your party heads off for the Scoundrel's Hide Out in Shure.
That's all for tonight!

POSSIBLE SPOILER>>>>>>>
The party enters the Scoundrel's Hide Out. Inside there are many monsters. The party finds two sticks of Dynamite, and near the top, the scoundrels are passed out, or possibly dead. They also find a girl, Teim, who has been captured by the scoundrels. Somehow, she fits into you're Item Pack. When you exit, you go to the bridge (if you've figured out why she was captured). Darum, the hunter is still there. Teim steps forward, a bag still on her head. Darum demands money, and Teim is confused. Darum steps forward ansd slices off Teim's head! Just as she's dying she gets the bag off, and Darum sees the daughter that he's killed. He blows himself up with dynamite in horror for what he's done. Another set of tragic events in a twisted world.
Now off to bed, young Neo! :p

Well, no one has a perfect memory. :)
If you want a good telling of the PSII story, check out ill-intent's manga on this site.
-->comics-->donated comics-->Phantasy Star Manga
Be forewarned: this manga doesn't follow the story perfectly, and ill-intent has added some stuff for plot purposes.
