Like the actual age of Mieu, what happened to Orakio's Fortress..

Mieu:
I am not of Laia's tribe. I am an android - a Mieu-type...
580 years ago, I was created using forgotten skills and technology.
My power failed, and I slept silently within this lake for a long time,
but someone woke me up. Wherever I go, I'm always crowded in by people...
But I'm not running away any longer! I'm going with you!
The power of the hero Orakio will protect you from Laia, Goddess of
Darkness...
- Are you returning to the castle? You'll be leaving the royal city,
then?
Woman in Western House:
- I pity the princess of the neighboring kingdom to whom Prince Kein is
betrothed.
King:
Fool! What do you think you're doing, calling out the royal knights and
rushing off the start a war and chase after some "disciple of Laia" that
you don't even know where it went!
Maybe in the dungeon you'll cool your
Townspeople (Men):
- In this world, those called Orakians are people of light, and those
called Laians are people of darkness. I've never seen a Laian
myself, though.
- Laia's people wield mysterious powers. They use them to try to take
over the world!
Just a little while ago, a monster stole the key to this world, the
"Forest Sapphire", from the castle and flew toward an island to the
south.
"The fortress's people, thirsting for hatred's power,
summoned the Darkness known by that name.
Orakio, angered,
thrust down his black sword,
and sealed both fortress and Darkness away."
...That's it.
(singing) "In the midst of four fortresses
lies the key to meeting the child of the desert.
In the midst of the night lit by two twinkling moons
lies the key to meeting the child of the seas."
I'm Mai, the minstrel.
This song has been handed down throughout the ages...
SHUSORAN (after speaking with Lena)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Townspeople (Men):
- Prince Lyle! Welcome home to Shusoran!
- The "Moon Stone" and "Moon Tear" have been gathered together.
Now, if you bring them both to the tower in the desert...
Townspeople (Women):
- I don't understand what Lord Lyle is thinking.
But, I have faith in him.
- 1,000 years ago, the goddess of love, Laia, was slain by your land's
Orakio.
King:
You vanquished me... Perhaps you are a man of the stature Lyle says you
are...even though you are an Orakian.
But, you have a choice to make! I understand through my nephew Lyle's
reconnaissance that the girl you call "Lena" is actually the princess of
Satera, the kingdom adjacent to your own...the very princess raised as
your fiancée!
Of course, should you choose Marlena's hand, that would be fine, too...

All can be found here.. These are just some interesting quotes to debate.
http://home.att.net/~RCgamusic/ps.htm

I really like the "Lena was Rhys' Fiancee" angle. I find it very hard to believe that Rhys and Lena were strangers before the adventure started, as they were from royal families only separated by a tiny creek.
I'm actually playing this up in the remake--It's my own theory that Rhys and Lena were very good childhood friends, and it was a mutual, but mostly unspoken understanding that they would marry someday. However, when Maia appeared, Rhys fell in love with her, and unknowingly scorned Lena, who was really in love with him. Lena then, in the interest of Rhys' happiness, decided to give Rhys up, because she loved him too much to stand in his way. I think this gives Lena more depth, and makes her story more tragic. Moreso, at least IMHO, than the "I have a crush on him from afar" theory some people have pushed.
I was actually contemplating including a scene with Lena walking the streets of Landen alone, at night, talking about how her love for Rhys was being unrecognized, and how he was in love with someone else--A little nod to my favorite song from my favorite musical. A slightly different version of that scene, with Lena sitting in a forest next to a river, has made it into the game.

According to the japanese pS 3..
Lyle stole the twins ruby from the Cyborgs to get to Landen to kidnap Maia. He then delived MAia and stole the heirloom so he could get Lena to Aridia.
He then waited for Rhys in the cave, gave him the tool to get to his world and then went back to Aridia to save Lena.
He then took Lena to his castle.
You see, Lyle had the Twins Ruby enabling him to get to Landen via the south cave. He used that way to get Maia to his castle. He then returned to Landen the same way to tell Lena to use her gem to help her fiancee Rhys.
It's all so contrived. Lyle actually wanted the DEV war started!
Edit: Capowski has only translated Rhys and Ayn's quests from the original. But from the plot changes, it could be LYLE as her father as well as his daughter on AYN's side.
[size=small][Edit by Lord Khyron on [TIME]1115266879[/TIME]][/size]

Huh? What?
He still fell in love with Maia afterwards. An engaged marriage doesn't change anything.

I was referring to the debate we had over this some time ago. One of my points in arguing Lena over Maia was that Rhys already knew Lena quite well before his adventure, where as Maia he knew only for a short time.

But this line right here, proves that he didn't know her well.

Lena:
Prince Kein! Have you forgotten me? I'm Lena; we met in Riik's dungeon.
Miss Marlena was taken to the island that lies on the other side of this
castle's rear gate.
When I heard that my Moon Stone was needed to cross over to the island, I
tried to come to you, but I was attacked by monsters along the way. Lord
Lyle here graciously came to my rescue, though, and, so, here I am.
Well, let's go rescue Miss Marlena!

And from Ayn's quest..

SOME PEOPLE WHO LOOKED LIKE LAIAN REFUGEES FLED TO THE WEST.
AMONG THEM WAS THE MAN WHO STOLE THE TWINS' RUBY FROM US TWENTY YEARS
AGO AND FLED TO RIIK VIA THE NORTHWEST CAVE.
- THERE'S A WAY TO REACH SATELLITE THROUGH FLOTRAAN, TO THE EAST.[TAB]
HOWEVER, YOU LIKELY WON'T BE ABLE TO GO THERE WITHOUT THE POWER
TOPAZ.
- IT IS SAID THAT THE POWER TOPAZ IS A SATERAN HEIRLOOM.
THAT COUNTRY WAS ONCE HOME TO ANOTHER VISITOR TO THIS TOWN CALLED
LENA.
NOW, HOWEVER, THEY SAY THAT THE STONE IS THE PROPERTY OF HER
DAUGHTER, WHO LIVES IN RIIK CASTLE.
