Lunar Genesis and the Nintendo DS

So, has anyone seen the pictures of Lunar Genesis for the DS? They look absolutely horrible!
This was one of only two games that had me considering buying the DS (the other being Castlevania), and now I just don't know.
Don't get me wrong, I think the PSP sucks out loud, but really.... what does the DS have to offer? Not much.
At least PSP owners will be getting Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtam.

There are some fun games out for the DS, like "Wario Ware Touched!" (played it in a store more than a week ago, a blast!), Catch! Touch! Yoshi!, and the new Pacman game, which is different than your usual one. :D

Don't forget, GBA games to be played on the DS.
With a longer battery life than the PSP.
So DS wins!

My opinion on the Nintendo DS.
Positive: Enhanced graphics, the picture chat, wireless link-up, GBA backwards compatibility, and the games that are scheduled for release this year (Metroid Prime: Hunters, for example) looks promising.
Negative: Not compatible with the games from the older GameBoy models (e.g. GameBoy and Colour).
Now for the PSP.
I'll honestly admit that I haven't tried the PSP myself, but from what I was told by friends of mine from video-game shops, the PSP is doomed to failure because of its crappy battery life-span, faulty control layout, and a non built-in memory system; you need a memory card to save game progress. And also, who cares that it has got DVD compatibility when the PS2 and the XBox already has it? o_O

[Edit by iceman on [TIME]1117290879[/TIME]]

Not to mention that the quality of the DVD compatibility is bad.

Negative: Not compatible with the games from the older GameBoy models (e.g. GameBoy and Colour).

Does anyone even play these games anymore at this point? :p
Well, I don't think the masses do. However, Game Boys and Game Boy Colors go for very cheap these days, so it's not too much of an issue.
I also doubt that the choice of disks for storage is a good choice for a portable system. Look at the walkmans that play CDs. You move a bit and the disk doesn't want to play or plays badly because you 'move too much'. Sure, the disk will only be spinning when loading game data, but that'll be enough.
[Edit by Benoit on [TIME]1117304620[/TIME]]
