SOAB Help

Postby Kirst » Sat Feb 26, 2005 9:37 pm

I recently unlocked Soul of a Blacksmith, and am wondering how to make sure I get the right weapon.
PSOW's walkthrough says blade, staff, and (the gun word), but I'm not sure what it means. Does it mean I need to bring a melee/staff/gun weapon to him along with the blue mineral?
So yeah, pretty much I just need to know how to make sure I get the weapon I want. Thanks.

You have to obviously get the three quest items.
The best mineral is found in Caves 3...I suggest using that one. Seeing it is the only one that will get you a rare weapon.
The weapons are:
-God Hand (Blade)
-Suppressed Gun (Gun)
-Techincal Crozier (Staff)
You will only get these with the Caves 3 mineral. AND IT ONLY WORKS ONCE. So..enjoy :)

[Edit by Neo48 on [TIME]1109454067[/TIME]]

Mage, you won't get the rare weapon on a mode other than ultimate.
If I already picked up the Red Mineral, can I still get the Blue Mineral? X_X

I found a charge partisan it is bad because you use your meseta for your special attack.

The Red Mineral from Cave 1 gives you a Heat style weapon.
The Green Mineral from Cave 2 gives you a Shock style weapon (I think).
The Blue Mineral from Cave 3 gives you an Ice style weapon in Normal - VHard or a rare in Ultimate.
Neo posted the list.
Apparently you've got to kill all Forest enemies to find the Blue Mineral?

Hmm...don't know about that. But Forest monters are fun to push around anyway. Why not kill them all :D

Also:
- You only find Sacred Guard in Vhard, when it's already useless as both you need higher def and you have State/Maintenance already available in shop. (you can find it in normal only if you have a certain ID however, just as Oran can find Double Saber in normal ruins).
- You only find both Egg Blaster and Nei Claw in Vhard TTF, point at which, if you can get SSrank, it means you have already the level to use Red Handgun and Photon/Silence Claw, so those prizes are only good for show now.
- No longer valid but still, before v2 or E1&2 came around, lv15 tech disks were only available in Pinkal, ID which, btw, has ROTTEN luck for finding slotted armor.
...makes you wonder if what Sega meant by "Forces are meant for Advanced Players" means they were made for starting the game with all the excess items your other chars find and they have no use for.

[Edit by ROMeo on [TIME]1109970556[/TIME]]

Skyly gets it from Tollaw in Ultimate. I believe there are other spots too :p

- You only find both Egg Blaster and Nei Claw in Vhard TTF, point at which, if you can get SSrank, it means you have already the level to use Red Handgun and Photon/Silence Claw, so those prizes are only good for show now.

Egg Blaster can be found in the Spaceship (The parts). Neis Claw kicks the ass of Photon/Silence Claw by huge ammounts of ATP (The real claw of course) and can be found in the Tower.

...makes you wonder if what Sega meant by "Forces are meant for Advanced Players" means they were made for starting the game with all the excess items your other chars find and they have no use for.

I agree. I force is very hard to start off with. But if you want to meet that difficulty without leeching off other characters, take the force into Challenge Mode.

Neo, keep in mind that most of the time, ROMeo is talking about the Dreamcast versions.

No longer valid but still, before v2 or E1&2 came around, lv15 tech disks were only available in Pinkal, ID which, btw, has ROTTEN luck for finding slotted armor.

Not true. My HUmar found his LV 15 tech disks in Very Hard Ruins.
