Ok. In PS IV, like most of you know, it said that Rika was made from a Numan that lived 1000 years before PS IV. The only one mentioned from around that time was Nei. <p>BUT....<p>In PS II, we find out that Nei was a part of Neifirst. Nei and Neifirst were the same, one split from the other at some point in time. Neifirst was the biological construct that the system made, so I'm guessing Fal/Rika is SEED's attempt to making a more stable version from the records that the biomaintenance systems would have had. Funny thing is, Mother Brain, who was built by the Earthlings who were under the influence of Dark Force, probably had Neifirst made as a means to further weaken or even wipe out the natives of Algol...and 1000 years later, a part of the system Mother Brain/Dark Force/the Earthlings created remakes Neifirst and it would be one of those responsible for destroying the Profound Darkness.<p>Anyway, to answer your question, Neifirst and Nei are one in the same. How hard is it to think that Rika came from a combo of Neifirst and Nei data? I mean, Nei is kinda and benevolent, like Rika, but Rika also has a penchant for fighting when she is only 1 year old (I believe that was her age in the game). Every being has dark and light sides, and Rika is no different. <p>There was a part of Neifirst so good it had to split from itself, so not all her programming was evil...

I always thought of Nei as more of a budding off of Neifirst more than anything.

I really don't think that it makes a difference whether Rika came from Nei or Neifirst, although considering the game text and compendium info it would seem like Seed would have taken the data from Neifirst's biological composition since Neisecond was an unexpected happenstance. The end result was the same either way, Rika being the result of 1,000 years worth of research to improve upon genetics so tha tit could unltimately mix with the genes of a human and thus become a superior being.

Rika wasn't made from Neis DNA I believe, she was mostly based on the research, information of the scientist from a thousand year ago.<p>From what was written on the old computers, they made Rika and I agree on the fact that since the Neis are some failed experiment, they probably wouldn't be copied maybe they weren't even mention in the research...<p>(Well don't mind me, I love Phantasy star but I don't know as much things as you do, I didn't studied the compendium or anything... but maybe that's a theory)
