Bad News For Nightmare

I have bad news everyone... I sat down to play last night and I remembered I had transferred one of my characters to my other memory card so I could give a few new characters some money etc. when I went to transfer back I was inpatient and pulled my memory card in slot B... It went corrupt and I now have lost my level 120 Hunter my level 70 something hunter, my level 108 Ranger and my level 39 ranger. Luckely my level 70 something was still transferred so I gave every weapon I found with him to my new characters Nightmare and RX-38 !@#$ !@#$ !@#$ this is the same time when I'm about to buy the gamecube modem off ebay ... whould I still do so now that my characters are gone ?
R.I.P. You know.. most times you can just delete the guild card file and save your char data.
I wish I had known that when I lost my Aura 2 times..

I don't understand the memory cards. My own has "corrupted" a few times when I turn on the GC. I just say "f*ck you" then try turning on my GC again. It works fine after that.

Had that happen once with Metroid Prime 2. Said it was corrupted. Restarted, it was fine.
Most of the time, I've discovered that corrupt PSO save files stem from a hacked item that came into the user's possession at some point, whether in your inventory, or in the safety deposit box area (as I call it. :P)

I got rid of my hacked items about a day before my file went corrupt... haha my stupid memory card hates me. The same thing happened to me in the first week I bought the game

Look at it this way - it gives you a chance to start over, make better decisions about levelling up and so on. Try a new class. You've got the experience now, so put it to good use.
Also, I've had it that the card needs formatting, but I just turned off my cube, took out the card, replace it, then turn it on again. Worked fine again.
However, when my Skies file corrupted (somehow) I couldn't recover it! I was so close to getting Vyse the Legend as well!
