That's precisely what I say since the beginning, Falz is as wrong as Force if we really want to be nitpicky. The only difference is that Force make sense with the japanese dialog, when I'm still waiting for someone to explain me the meaning of this Falz word. People want it and no one would know what it mean, pretty weird, eh?

It's already have been changed so I don't even see what it still need a debate, even if the fact it got changed doesn't mean it's the proper name, so I'll leave those people debate with themselves, it's just a waste of time.

But all the texts haven't been changed yet so yeah, this little name change cause a pretty much big delay because I still can't create the patch because of that.

I think Dark Force sounds cooler than DarkFalz, I was even like that when I was a kid and first played Phantasy Star after playing PSII.
I might add I didn't know the limits they was working with on the SMS.
I do know in Phantasy Star Online it's Dark Phallus or even just Phallus, I can't remember it has been so long since I played the game.

HUH?! Dark Phallus on PSO?! It's always been Dark Falz!!! I know quite well because my brother invested his first years as an MMORPG player on that one game.
Actually, I came to know of the Phantasy Star series thanks to PSO.

And nowadays, that brother of mine is engrossed on FF for dear life, with FF14 being his prime choice of MMORPG :P

Dark Force (ダーク・ファラス, dāku farasu in the Japanese version, sometimes romanized as "Dark Phallus" [1]) is the major recurring villain and plot element in the Phantasy Star series of video games. It is featured as a major boss in each game of the series, typically being discovered as the hidden source of recent calamities. Different games in the series give the entity different names, with Phantasy Star and Phantasy Star Online referring to it as "Dark Falz" and Phantasy Star II, Phantasy Star III and Phantasy Star IV referring to it as "Dark Force." In this article, Dark Force, the common name used by English speakers, will be used.

When I played Phantasy Star Online for The Dreamcast I faced the final boss and the name was Dark Phallus in one of his forms, but it has been since 2003 or 2004 since I have played the game.
Cause when I faced him I said Dark Force or Darkfalz and it came up Dark Phallus. I will have to play back thru the game.
Unless it was another boss idk

Believe me, man... In PSO, I've never seen the Final Boss with Dark Phallus as name... Never.

Also, you shouldn't need to make that many double posts, there's an EDIT button on the right of each of your posts.

Ok my brother says the same thing as you so I may be wrong. I will have to play back thru the game to see.
Sorry about double post.

Check on Youtube, PSO-World or something. It may be faster that way, I guess.

EDIT: Just checked Youtube, Google, Wikis, whatever about ダークファルス and it seems that it's been made official that, despite the disparity in translation, it's name is Dark Falz.
PSO2, for example, uses the japanese name during conversations but in Battle each boss has Falz ---, so I guess it may really be a case of translation disparity... Not surprised...

Furthermore, the English spelling formal originally dark phallus has a "Dark Phallus", PSO after it has been changed to "Dark Falz". to and want to know why that person was Sasse by literal translation the word.

Hmmm, still spell of Dah-chan is different. (Please pull dictionary worring)

Oh yeah, it's meaning of dark phallus, in English "Dark Phallus". When literal translation and ... "darkness of ○○○" Seven Dirty Words is (laughs). The original was Dark Phallus. :o

In the game's final level, the Profound Darkness' dimensional prison, the heroes may randomly encounter a powerful enemy called "Prophallus". This special monster only ever appears one at a time, and is identical in appearance to the version of Dark Force seen in the original Phantasy Star. Presumably, these are additional manifestations of Dark Force the Profound Darkness sends at the heroes prior to their confrontation with it.

Interestingly, this enemy's name gives credence to the aforementioned "Dark Phallus" romanization.

Interesting that the Japanese fan page also explores whether "Falz"'s German meaning could have significance.

Etymology
Phallus is a loanword from Latin phallus, itself borrowed from Greek φαλλός, which is ultimately a derivation from the Proto-Indo-European root *bʰel- "to inflate, swell". Compare with Old Norse (and modern Icelandic) boli "bull", Old English bulluc "bullock", Greek φαλλή "whale".

Well, I think the japanese people said that the original name was Dark Phallus and it was later changed to Dark Falz. That's it.

I think it was exactly like that, you're good.
But I think Black Cock would be more appropriate.
