I dunno, I'm not even upset by all of this to be honest with you... You pissed me off because you jumped at Semix in a disrespectful matter... Semix is fully capable of standing up for himself, but I just love the little internet drama... Honestly, I do usually have a point, and I debate extremely well, just check the whole lesbian homosexual posts, I honestly was boxing circles around the closed minded... However, I didn't believe this required such approach, because of how you approached the situation to begin with.

Now, if you had DEBATED lady Gaga, or had taken an intelligent approach to why you dislike her, and like your bands, then I would had never said a damn thing, but if I had, it'da been on the same level you were acting.

Either way, I fully hear and understand what you're saying, you're just blinded of your own actions, and aren't able to step outside of the box to see yourself. A 'couple' of people don't like me... I hate her music because it's targeted at least 8 year olds and one of her songs makes a reference on date rape.

Would you allow your kid to listen to that crap? Maybe if they're older, but not at that age.

That depends. I am an example of a very loose upbringing gone better than usually expected.

I was allowed to watch porn, listen to every music, watch violent movies as a kid (I watched the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th series then), among other movies most people frown to when they catch their kids. Hell, I watched Fist of the North Star where people get stomachs, heads and limbs exploded a lot. Saint Seiya where a typical way of killing is impaling people with your fist. Mortal Kombat as well.

This was mostly before I turned 11-13. I didn't turn into a crazy person. I also didn't go left and right punching people for no reason and I certainly am disgusted by the idea of rape.

The balancing weight has always been my father, who explicitly told me "That's not real", "That is wrong", "Don't do that for so and so reasons", "That can hurt you and others as well in many ways like so and so".

The end result was a kid who could discern between reality and fantasy and...

I honestly haven't listened to Lady Gaga, since most of the mainstream music on the market plainly bores me since it is so repetitive and I'm tired of making an effort into actively looking for something I may like (but then Katy Perry comes along with a few hillarious songs). I'm addressing your point of view regarding protecting a child only, by the way. I'm not saying the way I was brought up is THE way of raising a kid either. It worked with me, but it didn't with my youngest sibling.

My dad and my uncles tell me I'm weird in that respect.

It all depends on the speed of maturing of the kid in question.

I'd actually would like to be told a detailed set of reasons of what Semix thinks of Lady Gaga's music and lyrics to be honest instead of judging with only my point of view.
