Well hello everybody. I am quite surprised to be here. Two years is quite a long time for a board to be down, and I don't think I'd be alone in saying that I thought the board would never return.

But here we are, aren't we?

I don't know that any new people are here. I'm guessing that most of the people who have returned are people who used to frequent the site and always kept it in the back of their minds, even after such a long time. In any case, I suppose I'll introduce myself a bit.

I'm LaconianShot (well, that's my screen name, anyway) and I used to come here quite often. I have a lot of memories of this place. I think now that maybe it was quite an important part of how I grew, socially, back at a time when it was very necessary for me to do so. So this place has a special place in my heart. In the two years that it's been gone, I guess some things have changed with me, but I suppose that has happened with everybody. I look forward to catching up with many of you.

What Missagh said in the Site News forum about how the Phantasy Star Community has collapsed is essentially true. PSDB is gone. Myau of Algol's site does not have a community. And, until a few days ago, PS Cave was dead as well. The old fans are scattered or gone, I suppose. However, the games are as great as they ever were, and if people give them a chance, then the community will grow. And I think it will.

So, I'm glad to be back.

I had a gut feeling that this would be up. Myself I was a semi regular, after awhile. Same for the one at phantasy-star.net, but about the time he did a sever change the board went down a removed.
