Okay, this isn't as serious as it sounds, but...<br>As some of you know, my PC was sent away exactly two weeks ago. This is because it had many problems, all of which were due to a bug in the Motherboard. So, I sent it away, while attaching note that explicitly said to not erase the file in my Website directory. I got a phone call from the guy who was working on it, in which I mentioned once again to not erase the files in that directory...<br>When I got my PC today, I was very excited. He installed XP Pro for very little money, as well as added some other things. I was slightly annoyed that he didn't send the scanner that he promised, but I'm assuming that it will come soon. Anyway, the point of all this...<br> <b>THE BASTARD ERASED MY WHOLE WEBSITE!!!</b><br>It's gone! He didn't upload it! All that work, for nothing! So if any of the people who sent me art (Hero, Monocrimatico) are reading this, I'm sorry for losing it. Anyway, I must start rebuilding...

Unfortunately, there isn't. Now I've got to decide whether to use the honorable way of recooping my losses or the honest way. I refer to the conflict of using Microsoft Publisher or just plain old, HTML coding on Notepad. Well written code is always a merit, but I could make production <i>so</i> fast with MSP. I'm leaning toward Notepad, though...

I know a guy that can make constant Pop-Ups appear on a website using HTML. Its quite funny. He also found a way of making a website that (on Windows 95) you could only get out of by shutting off the computer.

Yeah, I have decided on Notepad. Then it's <i>my</i> work and not just some program making me look good. Plus, Amwhere advised that I learn CSS also, which I'll incorperate in my new site. I've also decided to learn more tags at the WC3 site (the official HTML guild) so that I can code better. Heheheh!

If you want some help, I use XHTML and my site is W3C compliant. I suggest you to try a program which doesn't write code, but highlights syntax (as the "view source code" in Mozilla does) to let you work in ease.<br>I use HAPedit, which highlights syntax for HTML, ASP and PhP.

Or you could use Textpad, which highlights HTML, Java, C++, and can use plugins to do more. It's even got a spell checker.<p>It's shareware, but it'll do no more than bug you about registering.<p>http://www.textpad.com

CSS is definately something you should learn. It makes formatting so much easier, and you can also do some very cool things with it.

What's the use of highlighting C++ for a web developer?<br>ASP and PhP are more useful.<br>CSS are not so difficult, you only need to practice them and learn what css standards are not sopported by that damned IE.

PHP is usaeful, but when combined with SQL can be quite the powerful language. It can be used for almost anything.
