Well, I'm a big Metroid fanatic. I'm pretty sure Hubbs is into Metroid, but I was wondering if anyone else likes for the series. What Metroid games do you have? What's your favorite Metroid game? Do you have a question to ask? Or...you could share you favorite part of any of the Metroid games. It's your choice.

You know that I am. My favorite would probaby have to be Metoroid: Fusion. Great story, graphics and when the SA-X was chasing me, I nearly shit my pants! Heh...
To all Gamecube owners: You must own, or have tried Metoroid Prime, right? Feel free to comment on that...

[Edit by LaconianShot on [TIME]1083119533[/TIME]]

Metroid 2: Return of Samus was good...by far one of the best GB games of all time. Metroid Prime: Echoes, you say? I didn't know that that was the name for it.
Did you beat MP with 100% power ups to get the best ending?

I love the Metriod series! Favorite game has got to be Metriod Prime. Amazing graphics, first person shooter (which is a good change from traditional side scroll), plus their is unlockable artwork! Also a good long game that challenges the most skilled. The story sort of just moves the life that Samus Aran has had, a continuation that can be continued. As well as awesome effects and great weapon detail. Plus the Spider Ball is soooo cool! Favorite beam would have to be plasma. I think this is a must have game, its gameplay is closer to perfect then most games.

[Edit by Neo48 on [TIME]1083122039[/TIME]]

Heh, Fusion was great, but Zero: Mission is great also. I'm playing it now, and I'm trying to unlock all the missions.
Uhhh, I have a question. Do any of you own Super Metroid? How is it? No spoilers, please.
PS: Heres a few pics of Zero:Mission
Image
Image
This last one is a bit old...
EDIT: I said missions didn't I? I meant endings...

[Edit by Siren on [TIME]1083291045[/TIME]]

I loved the original Metroid. Super Metroid was too damn easy, Metroid 2 was too hard..
Metroid Fusion was challenging, Especially on one part where you're stuck with the plants blocking and you have to roll around.. Took me forever..
Zero Mission is awesome. The Cut scenes of Samus without her armor as so WOW!..
Metroid Prime got me dizzy at times jumping around.. And why the hell can't she PIVOT? I mean she can jump, roll into a ball.. But she can't turn abruptly around like humans can. What gives!
She is cute also :) I would definitely want to be protected by her.
My Favorite now is Zero Mission.

Metroid 2 was diffucult. I had it for the original Gameboy
(one of the big grey ones). It took me a while to beat, finding items was so difficult. And the fully evolved versions of the metroids were very hard. I found the final boss easy however.

I remember playin' the first one way back but I never really got into them unit Fusion and onward. They've actually tried to put a decent ammount of story into them (Prime was a pretty lame game but the story was great). If it was that dungeon-action-quest kinda game genre, I prefer Castlevania.

So, is anyone here a metroid fanatic? Like, for instance, I unlocked every ending in Metroid Fusion (including 100% power ups under 2:00)...I don't want to brag, but that was freaking hard! I still haven't got very many of the endings in Zero: Mission, though.
I found Zero: Mission disapointingly short, however. But the stealth part was a good addition.
Yep, Samus is pretty hot...and now I have to ask you, Khyron...who would you rather have, Samus or Saligun? Or NM-2011?

I found the Metroid games quite entertaining. Out of the ones I've played so far, I'd probably have to say that my favourite was Super Metroid for the SNES.

Yeah, both GBA ones and the GC one weren't truly finished until I had everything. (oh, how nerdy I can be........)
