You can download third party programs to correct this, but why when you can just get a new browser that doesn't have these problems.

Why buy/download a browser, when you can buy/download a program to correct it that would be less expensive/time consuming.

Because new problems constantly arise, which means you would have to be constaly download/buying more and more third party programs.

There is also a program that comes standard for all versions of windows (That's what my bro said). To access it you need to be an "admin" on your computor (It's in the user thingy in the control panel.). Then click start, run, and type "msconfig". DON'T DISABLE WINDOWS SERVICES! The results won't be pretty. If a startup/service looks suspicious, uncheck it. When you log in, there will be a series of 3 windows, click ok on the first 2 and then exit without restart.
If somethings different it's because it's based off what I see on my Windows XP.

Alot of startup files will look they don't belong there. I suggest finding youeself a registry cleaner file (I use CleanMyPC) to clean out all the junk from you're registry that doesn't belong. You'd be quite surprised at the results that can give. You can have hundreds or ActiveX errors in your registry which can cause huge computer slowdowns and some programs to function with errors.

... You are so wrong on that one... It tells you what services are Windows services, and what ones are needed to run the computer... It only takes effect when you log-in... start-up items are not needed to run your computer. I use it and my computer is much faster. I've only had one problem which I figured out quickly: If you have a keyboard with extra functions (Like a e-mail or home button), if you disable the process it uses to open those windows, the results won't be favorable. On my Dell the process is called, "DELLMMKB".

You must be running XP, you have to remember not everyone runs XP

. So, depending on which Windows version you're running it can tell you these things. Also, spyware can hide itself by saying it's a Windows file. You have to really know what you're doing to play around with startup files, especially on Windows 2000 (which shows abosolutely EVERYTHING that starts up, which is alot). Besides, I suggested a registry cleaner to not only clean out the bad startup files, but everything else as well, Registry Intergrity, COM/ActiveX Errors, Bad Uninstall Entries, Bad Font Entries, Bad Shared DLL Entries, Bad Aplication Paths, Bad Help File Information, Bad Startup Entries and Bad File/Path Reference Entries. Romving these can greatly increase your computer speed.

[Edit by Tekno-Crystal on [TIME]1090740203[/TIME]]
