Since Birth Valley's entrance is sealed it's nice and quiet, but on the other hand, when it's quiet it makes you all the moreun easy!

Hey, it's you guys. When the bridge up north is fixed, you'll be able to cross it.

This is the village of Mile. And this is our sand worm ranch, but... Maybe we've fed them too much. They've become pretty big! In fact, they're kind of unlovable now. What do you think we should do?

You're looking for Birth Valley? Then go to a village called Zema. Apparently, the people there have returned.

Our sand worms on the ranch have become so huge they're kind of creepy.

When they were small, they were kind of cute... But now, those sand worms, they're scary.

This is the town of Nalya, but I don't think it's inhabitable anymore.

Hey, doesn't it look like there's a machine in the middle of that big hole? We want to see what it is, but on the other hand, it's kind of scary and no one dares go near it.

Old man

About three months ago a large meteorite fell just outside of town... and look what has happened! What in the world did we do to deserve this?

Man

This town may be doomed. It may be a smart idea to relocate as soon as possible to somewhere like Aiedo.

Bald man

This place was our home. Oh well, it may be that just coming out of it alive was miracle.

The house was safe, but considering what's coming, I have a feeling it would be better if we moved.

Young woman

I have no idea where we would go. It's also hard to leave a place where you've lived for so long.

Man

I'm happy that this house was miraculously saved, but we get harassed every day. If this is the way it's going to be, I'd rather it was all destroyed!

Young woman

That lady across the street, who used to be so kind, is just nasty all the time now. I just can't trust humans anymore!

Rain leaks into the other room. That's why we're sleeping in this room.

You know, right after the meteorite fell, some kind of army came rushing across the bridge from the west. And then, just when we had thought they returned to the west, we found the bridge destroyed. I wonder if they came from Aiedo? Who in the world were they!

You're talking nonsense again! Has the meteorite made you dim-witted?

There are a lot of hunters in this town so it's kind of dangerous, but, on the other hand, we're safe if any monsters appear. There are some benefits of having all these hunters here!

There are two weapons and armor stores in this town. If you want good quality stuff you'd better go to the store near the Hunter's Guild. Oh, it's you, Ryre. I don't need to tell you all this.

The fortune-teller named 'Mito' is one of the best. Like last time, she was right on the money about where my husband was stashing his secret savings!

I've come from Zema to peddle my wares, but... Look at this town! It's already got a pretty impressive marketplace! But I still have to sell the wares I brought, otherwise, I'd be too embarrassed to go home!

In the middle of town is a market. Behind it is the Hunters' Guild. Isn't it a big town?

Hunter A

I'm a hunter, but I haven't been able to find work lately. That's because there's some woman called Ryre who's getting all the work. Hey, well if it isn't Ryre. Why don't you send some work my way once in a while.

Ryre

Don't talk rubbish! Work is not something that gets sent to you. You have to go out and get it!

Hunter B

I'd say that 'Ryre the Eight Stroke Knife' is the most skilled person in these parts.

This is just between you and me... The cave to the north of Aiedo leads to the area beyond the hills. Everyone who's ever gone into the cave has never come back alive! I wonder what is beyond that cave!

Monsters have recently become extremly strong making combat with them difficult. I better think about a new profession pretty soon!

There's been a big army going in and out of that cave up north. It must be Zio's troops that we've been hearing about!
