Euthanasia

I just read this a little while ago and it really left a weird feeling in my gut...

I dunno if any of you support Euthanasia, but I do.

This is one of the cases in which I plainly say that sometimes, laws are beyond idiotic.

I do. If you're born mostly crippled, are in pain 24/7, I see that as an act of kindness.

I don't want to live like that and I don't wish this upon anyone.

Yeah, in cases like this, I relunctanctly support euthanasia.

I don't see why the mother had to stab her son, though. Why didn't she just remove/deactivate life support?

God knows. Maybe she didn't know how.

What sort of logic do you expect from a woman? Now, don't get me wrong, women can be quite logical (my girlfriend is the smartest/most logical person I've ever met), but I mean... A woman USUALLY lets her emotions do the thinking for her... Emotions over logic... I mean hell, look what happens when you spray a li'l axe on... It's craziness!

I also support it, if I were a vegetable, pull the plug...
I've traveled back in time... 300 years... Just to call you a "Cracker"!

Women can be fucking mental when they let their guard down, like when my ex mate Emma cried to me on the phone about her twat of a bf.

If he really wanted to die, I don't see much a problem here.

It's the painful stabbing which is the problem for me.

Well, if you take into account that life support devices are designed to monitor any changes in the patient they're being used with, it makes sense that disconnecting him would be noticed immediately by the staff, and thus, the man would be kept alive, further ruining the family. Four quick stabs would deal enough damage to end the man's life without him suffering for long, if at all...

Probably this woman gave the method a lot of thought, and was, in fact, much more logical than you give her credit for.

The thing that left the weird feeling in my gut was not the stabbing, which must have been gruesome. What did was the sheer love and devotion of the mother to actively END her son's life in order to lighten the burden on her daughter in law and her grandchildren.

The way things were, those kids and the mother were bound to be ruined economically and emotionally.

This way, maybe their mother can explain things to them when they grow up and hopefully the kids will understand why their grandmother did what she did.

In the end, it was an act of love. Horrible circumstances, yes, but it was love.

I support it. We treat our dogs and cats better than our human companions when it comes to dying with dignity and relieving suffering.
