Street Fighter 4

Postby Aolish » Mon Jan 19, 2009 2:50 am

So SF4 is coming out on Feb 17th. I been a fan of the game since the original SF2 and I'm imagining there has to be at least a couple of ppl here that were fans of the original game since the 90s. I was never good at the game. Always got pwned by the locals and still get pwned online on SF2 HD Remix. But its a fun trip down memory lane. :D

I am a big fan of the street fighter series, so yea, I checked a few gameplay videos on youtube that looked insanely good! I still believe the Ken/Ryu original trailer that was released for SFIV is absolute artwork, great approach by Capcom.

Anyway, two quick notes, one being that Capcom VS SNK 2 is one of the best 2d fighting games, and have you guys ever tried Mugen (with for instance Evil Ken, or Holy Ruy)?

I was always low on quarters because everyone kept pwning me at the arcades lol

I'm pretty sure anyone thats familiar with fighting games know about mugen at some point. It was something that was very cool at the time. Youtube is filled with them.

i had a chance to play the arcade version a few months back. it was only for a few minutes but i put down $60 for it anyway just based on that. XD

that being said, if you don't like 2d fighters i don't know if this would change your mind...it is much easier to grasp and it moves more fluidly than many 2d fighters but it's still...you know...street fighter. ^^

my opinion is that sf4 is a good game but not as great as 3rd strike or hd remix. I like the graphic style alot but sometimes its gets so flashy that I can lose track of what I am attempting to do.
