My opinion that PSIV is the best. On the second place is PS II, then PS I, & PS III. Universe is not bad game but its too far away from original series... thats too bad

Wow, that countdown is the same as mine, although I think that PSIII is probably the most distant from the usual series. That's just an opinion, though.

Well, mine is simular:
1) IV
2) II I
3) III

1. Is the one I like the best.
2. Still good, but not as much as 1.
3. Not up to par, put in some usual PSIII banter here.

I have to say PS3, even though I like them all very much. But PS3 gave me a special feeling as I played it the first time. I remember the mystery of the monitor until you got that explained in New Mota, and also the excitement of what the cyborgs in Hazatak would have to say after you found what they told you the last time.

The music is great, the story about Laya and Orakio, Lyle, Lune and everybody was really interesting at that time.
The three generations also gave the game some depth and kept me playing through all the possible ways to beat the game.

PS4 and maybe even PS2 is better games fore sure, but PS3 had a feeling that the other games didn't.

Although I voted for PSII mainly because it was the first PS game I played. But PSIII really has it's unique graphics and musics.

But in the end: Gotta love em all.

IV was the first for me. Then II, Then III, and Finally I. When I first played them they was on Sega Channel (except I) and thought that Dark Force would take turns, every 1000 years, to bother the Landen system and the Algol system. That is before I played thru all the way and played I.

Phantasy Star II for me. Epic, and no nyuman can ever replace Nei <3
If I could make a second choce it would be Phantasy Star I. I loved the immersive 3D dungeon crawling and adventuring aspect of the game, and next to Nei, Alisa is my favorite character ^.^

It seems everyone's a fan of Nei here ^.^ That's good. I liked PS2's soundtrack the best, to tell the truth. Followed shortly by PS4's, although PS3 had the best overworld theme. It just kept growing. Oh, and welcome to the forums, Izumi. ^_^

PS II is probably my favorite. I have never gotten a greater sense of accomplishment from beating any other RPG. Oh, and that ending was incredible.

I voted for Phantasy Star 2, because It's my favorite one that I've played and beaten so far.

I've beaten Phantasy Star 1, and 2. I am currently playing 3, and I like it a lot. It's got a really different look to it, but It's a lot of fun. I havn't played 4 yet, which appears to be everyone else's favorite.

PSIV has most detailed storyline and also many "slideshow" pictures in many scenes. But imo, it's the easiest game of the original series. Still doesn't make it a bad game at all.

It sounds pretty awesome. I have seen screenshots from it, and it looks good. I've read some things about it too, but I was careful not to read any story elements. I can't wait until I finally get to play it... but not until I beat Phantasy Star 3. I want to play them in order
