Sega's Gonna Merge, I Can See It Now

Postby rlrunyon » Tue Oct 07, 2008 3:49 am

I've always had the feeling Sega was going to be "merged" *cough* boughtout *cough* by Nintendo. Today, I feel one step closer to my conclusion. The Wal-Mart I currently work at has a Sega claw machine. It had a damn Pikachu in it.

A merge wouldn't be a bad idea for Sega, but I would like to Sega back to when it was in its prime. =)

Hm. If SEGA would merge with nintendo what you think would happen to Sonic? More or less Sonic in publicity?

A Sonic claw machine... with Pikachu in it? Do you live in Japan or something, rlrunyon?

Heroic_Chaz, I live in the U.S. I went by the claw machine today and apparently someone won the Pikachu. And was a Sega machine, not Sonic. It had many weird plushes non-video game related.

Really I predict a lot more Mario and Sonic games. Or they may torture us and we see Pokemon in Phantasy Star games. =P

I don't see a merger being a good move for Sega. They cover quite a bit of ground with being 3rd party.

I think it would be awesome though.

I hope Sega works on the next F-Zero game!

Did you know that F-Zero GX on the GameCube was a joint effort of Sega and Nintendo?
Get Xenoblade Chronicles!

Yup, I did. Beastman's pose before a race is the same animation as "punch" for males in PSU.

*Really wants a Sonic plushie right about now*
I heard a rumor that Sega was going to be involved int he first two Super Smash Bros. games, but instead they waited to see how popular it would get. When it became bestsellers for both original AND melee, they had all the proof they'd need.
I wonder what people will see in the final days?

I personally don't care -- I know they're the same thing.

Okay, bro. You don't have to go bitchy on everyone cause you got your panties in a wad towards Ben. I'm just making conversation. It's what you do in fucking message boards.

Rlrunyon, it's not nice to provoke someone who's already trying to resolve his own conflicts... that is to say, you are most certainyl entitled to your own opinion.
