I think there's 8 pieces.

NeiShot, NeiEmel, NeiShield, Neimet, Neicrown, Neislasher, Neiarmour and the Nei Cape.

Just go with all 8 somewhere in your inventory and Lutz gives you the Neisword.

Recently Played through the Numan Revolution Hack and still had a savestate at the end :P

Off-topic, what 4 new enemies were in Evil Overload? I found it rediculously hard to progress, even with Savestates. I came across Van Leader but that was it.

PSIV all the way man .. i have good fun with that one still.
i got it on a ps2 disc called Sega Genesis Collection and i played the original a while back when i was real young....(i didnt no what to do till me and my bro played together).....

Would like to see a PSO hack (not just a link to a new server, but a level mods or enimy mods, Heck evenclass type mods{new classes})

There were/are a lot more gamers back in the genesis era/now as opposed to the early 80s early 90s. Because of this more ppl are exposed to the Phantasy Star games and naturally most people will tend to go and play a game that looks the best (which would be the latest or one of the later games in a particular series). For example, if the PS series would have continued (say up to Phantasy Star 11) the majority of people would more then likely vote for one of the much later games as being the greatest of all the PS games. The old school games are always going to be the ones that will be left behind. Of course there exceptions to this, but the general idea is there. Wait another 5-10 yrs later, the next generation of people in the year 2020 will think how bad Final Fantasy 7/Phantasy Star 4 looked like and why people from old school days could ever think that was the greatest of all FF/PS or any old school games. lol It's neverending. Hopefully this post makes sense haha :D

Makes perfect sense. I think the problem with modern RPG's is that they've been turned into slashers and glorified anime movies. I don't even consider most mmorpg's true RPG's. The last really good RPG I played was FF7. I really haven't liked anything since. Some of the best RPG's I've ever played weren't very visually appealing, but they sure were fun.

Things have certainly changed. People's idea of an RPG now is a bunch of people running around hacking/slashing each other. Mass confusion and mindless button mashing. To an old school RPG fan like myself it really is depressing. Thinking a PSV that played like the original 4 will ever be created is just a pipe dream. It wouldn't sell. People would rather play their first person shooters and "pwn" somebody... whatever that means.

Don't feel too downhearted. As an oldschool gamer, myself, I feel I must disagree with your point. FF7 was, indeed, an outstanding game (Even if Cloud and Vincent were emo... Now, where did I leave my Viking axe?) and probably one of the last great traditional RPGs.

Still, here are a few titles you should look in to if you're serious about the FF7 thing:

Project: O (project in the works. No, not mine!)
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter
Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows
Megaman X: Command Mission
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
The Last Remnant
Sonic Chronicles (Chronic, hahahaha)
Rune Factory
Lunar Dragonsong
Crisis Core: FF7 (You know you won't resist it!)
Legend of Heroes
Valkyrie Profile

There are likely to be many more if you just look it up. Gamefaqs is a quick and effective way to find out about currently released RPGs. Just remember to subcatagorize as "Console-style RPG" after you select your system and "Role-Playing Game" catagory.

Phantasy Star 4 was the best. It had the best storyline and it made you care about what happens with the cast. It had the best gameplay of the originals. It could have had more side missions with the Hunter's Guild, though.

I loved Phantasy Star Online, but haven't played it in a long time. I didn't really play it online much. I wouldn't mind seeing a hack as well. The game got old in offline play from time to time.

Also at times online seemed to be offline but harder.

PS4 and FF6 were the last RPGs I really enjoyed playing.
The only 'new' games I might play are Daimonin and ADOM. But luckily, for me there, are some games that I haven't played trough yet: Lufia 1 & 2, other oldschool FFs, Crhono Trigger... Basically many SNES RPGs. :)

I cannot even count how many times I've played trough PS1, PS2 and PS4. They're all great. I've played PS3 once trough. I didn't like it that much back then. Nowdays it's _almost_ good as all the other from 1 to 4, except for musics (you can compare for example FF6 musics to PS3 musics, big difference). Worst are all the battle musics. There are some musics in PS3 that are very good, but there's not much of them. Well fortunately I can turn the sound off and listen something else. :P

One Final note: I don't actually remember which game I voted. I belive it was PS2. I would have voted PS4, but it's simply too easy.
I am NaN!

My favorite is PS4, because it had the most side quests and the best story, in my opinion. I think a close second would be PS2 for me. It was my first rpg, and so I have a bond of sorts with it. Third for me is PS3. It had the most replayability, even though the story was only a tad different depending on your marriages in the game. I've never actually played PS1, so I can't say how I feel about that.
I wonder what people will see in the final days?
