hmm I presume all or most vehicles in the game have multiple seating, cause more often than not you'll be with a party.
Either that or say if there are hoverbikes, then each player rents their own hoverbike to not get left behind.
yep no info what the vehicles are. but they did confirm you drive them. So they are definitely not creatures you ride on or escort vehicles that go from one destination to another on its own.
They might be in the form of cars, bikes or something.
As for planetary travel, I think spaceships that take you to one of the 2 other planets are completely automated.
(anyways it would be a waste of money to create real-time empty outerspace for the sake of just flying out there. I prefer that memory used to make each planet larger and more deeper for explorers. ^_^

Or lets NOT improve the game. Lets go back to 2-D graphics while we're at it %)

You idiot..
R.O.S.E online is a 3d game! Only the most successful globalized Korean MMORPG next to Priston Tale, Maple Story and Ragnarok Online.
Of which, PT is 3d.
Roseon.com
And I thought Mage was dense...

I was making a stab at your constant bad feel to the game....
You seem to be comparing everything about this game to something that we have seen before...when really, we have little knowledge. Wait it out, you may like what you see.

Yeah, you say "Oh creature riding like Ragnarok Online and Vehicles like in ROSE" but when ROSE and RO came out you could have said "Oh vehicles and creature riding, just like in real life!"
I think you have to accept that unless developers just go crazy, like they did with Project Rub ("Feel the Magic" in the US) that a lot of ideas are going to be familiar, but the implementation and combinations are what will bring us enjoyment.
I mean, in all MMORPGs people are like "WOW! You can ride an animal, have a pet, build a house, go fishing etc etc" and I just think "Oh really, well people have being doing that in real life for 1000s of years. Still, those game are often a lot of fun so it just goes to show that just 'cos it's a familiar idea it doesn't make it a bad one. #)

[Edit by Zubon on [TIME]1113367000[/TIME]]

Yes, well I am preparing for the worst. When you do that, it isn't much of a shock and it's easier to accept something once you condemned it.
Actually, when Rose and Ragnarok came out.. They were ridiculous and no way in hell that is real life vehicles/Animals.
I called Neo a idiot because he called ROSE a 2d game, when it isn't.
It was more of a affectionate term, Neo knows what I mean by it.

Yeah I do...and I didn't call it a 2-D game. Again, I was implying something else there.
Preparing for the worst shows you have lost all faith in Sonic Team to produce a good game. Sounds like your ready on move onto a new developer.

[Edit by Neo48 on [TIME]1113397389[/TIME]]

Lord Khyron, just kinda wondering, would you rather they changed nothing so its the exact same game...?
I for one am all for vehicles, especially if the worlds are incredibly large. However, Im not to sure if I like the idea of the rumored 65 to hundreds of players per game, IMO that could take away the original strategy PSO had that made me a junkie with it, but we'll have to wait and see how that turns out. But if you create ur own rooms like in PSO and can set a player limit it wont really be a problem for me anyway.

I find it hard to optimistic about a games that so far looks like every other MMORPG out on the market. As far as I can tell, Sonic Team has given into every mainstream MMORPG cliches just to make a quick buck.

They are all the same...every MMORPG will be based on the same boundaries of others. What makes them different are the backgrounds they come from.
WoW includes everything these games have...leveling, crafting, currency, wide arrays of weapons, worlds to travel....but what makes it different is its feel. It looks like the Warcraft world, the characters are all based off the Warcraft world...weapons and building designs are all from the Warcraft world.
And this is what should be expected. Except in the Phantasy Star world. But all games have unique styles...where as PSU has combos, unique races and etc. (We all know what they are)
You can expect that....and so what if it is mainstream? If you classify sports games as mainstream in their own category...how do you NOT make them mainstream? If a game is said to be MMORPG...then we will get an MMORPG with all the basic standards of one with the unique-ness that comes from the world of Phantasy Star.
And is that so bad? I mean...what more could we ask for? This is a great thing that we are seeing, a Phantasy Star game that has joined the ranks of other big MMORPG games.
[Edit by Neo48 on [TIME]1113418460[/TIME]]
