Regarding the PSC IRC Chat

Unfortunately when trying to connect, my name was already taken, despite having it registered. I entered as anonymous...and no one was there.<p>Would anyone like to explain how my name was taken?

Yeah, I get in as a Mod. However, I think that mIRC would notify me if the channel was nonexistant.

Except that existent channels will put you as a common user, not as an op. I 100% know that I´m not an operator of #pscave and that there should be a topic line there.

Yes, it was on GamesNET. The channel wasn't registered anymore. The registration expires after two weeks if no operator visits it.<p>GamesNET seems to be going through a sort of freeze, because their domain has been hijacked. I think this is why you can't register anything at the moment, though their network is still active.<p>That's right, I can't re-register the channel...

Can't you register to a better server instead? Isn't there any other IRC servers that host video game chatrooms?

Yes, there are, ThePeaGuy. Upon reading your post, I searched, and found GameSurge. I registered an account there.<p>Saw my email today, and confirmed my registration. Registered the #pscave channel, and it's now awaiting approval.
