Yes. Can you belive?
The processor that runs inside every Master System is more than 30 years old and still in use in some modern devices.

wikipedia.org wrote:The Zilog Z80 is an 8-bit microprocessor designed and sold by Zilog from July 1976 onwards. It was widely used both in desktop and embedded computer designs as well as for military purposes. The Z80 and its derivatives and clones make up one of the most commonly used CPU families of all time, and, along with the MOS Technology 6502 family, dominated the 8-bit microcomputer market from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s.

www.zilog.com wrote:An industry leader since its inception, the 8-bit Z80 microprocessor is still popular with engineers worldwide after many years of production. Ideal for embedded control applications, the Z80 architecture incorporates dual register banks that enable fast context switching and interrupt handling.

I remember it isn't CPU in Mega Drive. It's some kind of sound processor, altough I guess it's used for SMS games as CPU.
Doesn't Mega Drive have m68k as CPU?

... Quick look from Wikipedia confirmed.
