For people serious about video game designing.

Since so many people here are interested in creating, or even just participating in creating, fan & original games, I thought it might be a good idea to create a section that helps people with this process, start to finish.

It could go thru all the basic stuff like:

1) Program choices (illustrating the benefits and limitations of using each program)

2) Establish guides on how to use the programs and a "start-to-finish" account of how to build a game with that program.

3) Make available extra content and a forum for the obvious things something like this would need.

4) A game makers guide which could (should) include everything from what type of game best suits your ideas, the front and back of each game genre, how to write a good story to the game, creating believable/likeable/dislikable characters, and anything else people can think of that they might have trouble with.

Most of this I believe I can do on my own. But how many great ideas never happen because that person didn't know where to start to make it happen? How many great games will we never see because a person had an amazing idea but didn't understand the writing process well enuf to make it as interesting as it should have been.

I present this idea with no hope that PS cave will adopt this plan, so instead I am writing to say that I intend to make my own wikipedia website specifically for video game creators. I'm posting it here because I think there are people here who would support this. It's going to take me a long... long... really long time... But I think it will be worthwhile.
