Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. In January 2007 a blog post titled Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year proposed the theory that a black version of the Google search engine would save a fair bit of energy due to the popularity of the search engine. Since then there has been skepticism about the significance of the energy savings that can be achieved and the cost in terms of readability of black web pages.
We believe that there is value in the concept because even if the energy savings are small, they all add up. Secondly we feel that seeing Blackle every time we load our web browser reminds us that we need to keep taking small steps to save energy.

It's a nice idea, but I have chosen to 'support' projects that aim to more efficient power source development. By this I mean like finding a new source of energy, like fusion power or more efficient solar energy technology.

It's easier to give people more greener energy than to teach everyone to save energy. ;) That's pretty much my motto on this. :)

why not both?

For many scientists, futur will be about doing more with less as nowadays system won't be able to go on forever.

We've already seen that everywhere and especially in the car industry where cars go farther faster with less fuel.

Doing both might be a good solution (or stopping everything like when we (PS fans) broke mother brain)

Don't know why i listed them but meh. (22nd is the clan im the leader of on CoD)

I have mostly many windows open with each containing a groups of tabs that are relevant to eachother. I also use six virtual desktops to have enough space.

Personally, I'd love to hear some jokes that insult Canadians. I am curious on an international level.

I am biracial (Mexican, white (a good handfull of European countries), and a small percentage of Native American, to small of a percentage to actaully count). I never heard white jokes in general. But I have heard jokes about people from a specific country/nationality of a number of skin tones. I know there are a few that fit the jokes, but most do not. I don't consider myself a racist, but it is good to hear jokes about one another every know and then.

What I do consider true racist is some one who is apart of a group of people who does harm or is stongly does not like another group of people of a different country/race/etc.

I dont get offended by beaner, honky, redneck, hillbilly, feathers, or whatever if it is in jest.

Any joke, if in jest about anything I would find funny. But if said in a more of a negative (not the exact word, but it is good enough) way i don't like.

On the web if something is said on a humor site/newsletter or is intended as humor I dont consider kosher (close enough word to use I think, but i am using kosher as something that is in goos light.)

I dont recall any specific jokes (outside of some comic stripes I have seen online) on Americans, but I would like to hear some. Even some on white/Caucasians in general too. But this has this become off the origanl topic?
